Twal is a slug and given how Sheens wants to play more attacking footy, I can see Twal being on the outer. Uto looked hungry in that trial and as long as he starts, I think he's an easy pick.

Worst case none of the Tigers cheapie forwards are relevant and I just bring AKP back and hope he doesn't get dropped (and move Luke or Gennings up into my 17).

There's also Siua Wong who (as long as Crichton is out if that mail is legit) is almost guaranteed a start on the edge given that Egan Butcher would get the other edge and Nat has been training middle.

Even if the mail was not true on Angus, Robbo most likely minimises his minutes first seven rounds. He had a huge 2022.

Been watching NBA to pass the time in the offseason, just watched the WT/Warr game, you forget how rough this game is after watching basketball. Man I love it!
Tell you what though, if I had a dollar for every time a footy player used the word “obviously” out of context in an interview I’d be as rich as an NBA player! lol!

Getting tempted by Hughes, with Papy out and Munster also under an injury cloud, he will be stepping up massively, additional kicking and taking the line on.

He is the kind of player that tends to take a back seat, until he is reallly needed, which is what is required from him this season.

Its reading a bit much into "we want to play attacking footy" comments in pre season to leap to "twal is on the outer". Lol. Maybe he is though, i dont know, but teams still need to make tackles and run the hard yards.

Every team 'wants to play attacking footy'.

Sometimes I think you just pick a player you like/don’t like and make up the argument to suit from there.

I can't recall ever having Hughes in my team. If Munster isn't 100%, if Hughes doesn't step up, Storm aren't winning many games.

Munster had the same injury through the 2021 season.

In the 10 games that season in which Papy wasn't playing, Hughes averaged 69 with a low of 48.

Yeah I’m yet to see a team say in pre-season “we want to take 1 out hit ups every set all year”

The other player out of the Warriors trial who could be a dead set fantasy weapon if he has a break out year is Edward Kosi... he ran like a prop at speed and looked very hard to tackle. If he is getting better service from the HLFs could be the next Talakai (albiet on the WNG)

For 17k more than CNK Kosi could well be worth keeping a close eye on in the lead-up, I am not sold on CNK.

Although it would break two of my rules, no wingers and no Warriors.

    I’ve turned this game on.

I’m intrigued who will join Uto and Kosi in the pre-season all stars. Will be disappointed if some of you don’t add a player or two from every trial and turnover your entire squad across the weekend

Hastings out of my team can’t wait for him to kill it round 1 so I waste a trade getting him back in

Someone somewhere once said don't pick FB in bottom 4 type teams.

So Miller, CNK and Hammertime seem risky on that basis.

But I'll put them all in my team and live to regret it.

Tommy Turbo might buck that trend...maybe, if his rubber-bands don't break.
