With only Stimson on that bench as a potential threat to his mins, I think he's pretty safe at least initially.

took a quick look back, both games he was replaced by Klese Haas, who Stimson seems to have been preferred over, so i wouldn't use the word 'safe'

Just realised I have the cash spare to upgrade Tapine to Murray - would you do that?

    Essentially it's Tapine + 123k spare for upgrades/fixing mistakes or Murray + 9k.

here's my team with basically all my salary cap used

    smith
    murray, carrigan, sutton
    e. butcher, loiero
    cleary (c), doueihi
    thompson, alamoti
    latrell, miller, warbrick

    boyd, hopgood, ford, trindall
    utoi, doorey, talau, akp

    any thoughts appreciated
having utoi in my emg's has me thinking i should downgrade to a tmm or even cheaper like a 250k to get some bank.

I had a look at his stats last year and he played 80 mins in 6 of the first 7 games as well as in 6 of his last 8 games (really 5 but one of them is 76 mins so close enough), it was really just the middle of the year where he was managed more.

My plan is to have him round 1-2 and if he doesn't fire, then sell him for someone else round 3 (Hynes if I have the money to do it and he's back then, potentially Turbo if he's firing).

If he does fire then I keep him through his tough matchups in round 3-4 and his bye, because his matchups get good from round 6-8 (Dragons again, then Broncos and Dolphins)

Playing around with my final gun options. As it stands I can pick three between

    Grant/Cook
    Murray/Haas/Tino/Carrigan
    Doueihi

Different amount of change left over for round 2 fix ups.

Agree on this. There is about 25 players I'm trying to fit into 21 spots so would much rather an extra slot or two

Those with Levi not concerned with starting minutes and Stickys rotation.

Last season Woolford when starting averaged 40 minutes rotating with Starling for the rest. Levi when playing between 40 - 50 minutes only averages 31 points which is a bump compared to his price but not a very large one

i think that weight needs to be put on the fact that the 2 of those last 8 games that he didn't play 80 were the last 2, and add to that, they went 2-0 in those games vs 1-5 in the games he played 80, if Holbrook thinks he's stumbled onto a forward rotation that wins games, he may not shift from it, even in a new year with new players.

I think I've got my side set up now, and based on Hynes's prognosis on nrl.com changing to TBC, I think I'll give Trindall a punt. Uto down to Ford allows me to go Preston up to Trindall but if we hear any mail that contradicts this then I would just reverse those two switches and put Uto and Preston back.

Okay last team I post for today but just did a full clear and re-do and I think I much prefer what I have just come up with.

    Hodgo
    Murray Uto Haas
    Katoa E.Butcher
    Cleary Doueihi
    HSS Alamoti
    Turbo TMM Ponga

    Cheese Hopgood Doorey Trindall
    Warbrick Katoa I.Thompson Preston

    112K ITB

Playing CTR roulette to start, and after bench #15 it kind of goes to shit, but the cash itb should help make any jump I need to after round 1-2 where I only have Turbo missing out in R2 and none in R1.
