I'm about as anti-early trade as it gets in this game and I'm using atleast 1. 44 trades changed the game you can make almost 2 a week and not run out until late

It’s definitely changed the game. Last year I didn’t trade for the first three rounds. I’m super trade conservative  and will take this opportunity to remind people that one week does not make an average score. Unless you think they’re dog shit, or there is a must have cheapie, why not have another look.

That said, I’ll probably make a trade this week because we have 44 now. Hopefully I don’t need to trade Latrell.

1 minute after coming on he moved to centre to cover an HIA. And in the second half the dogs were generally poor. They may not be a great team, but they'll improve on that.

He had 2 half shots at scoring a try, if either had come off his scores would have been perfectly acceptable.

I'd be patient with Preston - if you were willing to put him in your team, you must have known he was a longer term play

He came on for Brown so guess RFM to lock as predicted then minute later moved to CTR to cover Kiraz HIA

To join me in the MCK club

Arrow was coming on as a prop anyway, so it's likely he'll keep the 80 minute edge spot going forward

From what I saw, he is a very similar prospect to Doorey (although) less impressive and less likely to be in the starting 13. As mentioned he played at CTR before half time for about 5 minutes (2 minutes into his stint Kiraz went off for a HIA. He appeared to be a little unsure of himself, especially in defence. This may have been nerves and he will get better but he is certainly not a musy have if you do not have him (or a must trade if you did select him)

Coaches can talk up players for many reasons including being a reliable plodder than does what they are told. Does not necessarily translate to fantasy points

Kiraz went off 29th min 1min after he came and he played out the half at centre. 11 mins

I get why Murray no TA but Ilias LB before tripping must mean LBA for Murray pass. Can anyone explain and why CNK still no try save for most obvious one you probably see all season? I don't have CNK just Murray

OK so he played on the EDG and a little bit at MID in the second half for 13 points in 40 minutes (as I said - a similiar proposition to Doorey not the next messiah) Some awful defensive lapses when he was playing in the middle and did not offer too much in attack. He won't play 80 going forward. I for one am very happy I kept Doorey over him

Yep, coach put him on at 28 minutes and he stayed on to the end of the game, a good sign.

Who's been everyone's disappointments so far?

I've got Tapine (45), To'o (29) and Trindall (33). Obviously the centres as well but we all have those.

From memory they do another sweep through before lock out lifts. The updates come just before lock out ends

Edit : but don’t hold your breath 😉

For me, no real disappointments except for perhaps Ponga (31) and Niukore (30)

I think with Ponga, his scoring is not so precise - he could go from 30 one week to 80 the next so I prepared to ride that out for a bit.
Niukore is a pass if he only gets 60 minutes - but again I will most likely wait for a few weeks to see what eventuates.

The player I regret missing in hindsight is Mahoney. He looks the goods this year. I think in that Bulldogs spine he is much more free to dictate how the game is played and that is good for his fantasy scores

Alimoti and HSS - would have been happy getting 50 out of them (combined) but as it is a bit disappointed

Katoa - probably ok in isolation, but with Loiero doing better for less I feel like I picked the wrong storm edge.

Turbo - didn't watch the game but going off what people said he was quite involved so 40 is a bit disappointing (given I also have Latrell who did not much for a 60+)
