MTB's ownership page shows about 12% of the top 5k had Garner last week.

I suspect a fair proportion bailed this week, so it's likely a single-digit percentage that benefited from being less trigger-happy than the likes of me/us.

It's a bit annoying from the 'wish I'd been a bit more patient' angle, but ultimately probably doesn't hurt that much given the low ownership

I've left both those teams alone and will make decisions next week, whereas I made two trades in Fantasy, succumbing to the perceived pressure.

Again, no one's putting a gun to anyone's head to hold in the other formats, or trade in Fantasy... but by christ there's a lot more peace of mind in those other formats... in week 1-2, anyway.

I speak, of course, as a regretful Garner Fantasy Trader and Supercoach/VSDT Garner holder.

I prefer the price change instant. It makes it better if you nail your guns out the gate and you don't get everyone getting on decent picks for the same value that you did two rounds later. I get the look and see part of it, but like I traded Garner and got punished this week.

I traded with the knowledge of how the fantasy Gods weave their wily ways so knew what to expect.

Yeah I was looking through the top 5,000 stats earlier, some of the ownerships that stood out to me:

Over 80% have Cleary, would expect the vast majority will have captained him
    Just under 80% have Smith
    Over 70% have I. Katoa
    56% have Murray
Over 50% have AKP - between Katoa and AKP there are going to be many teams struggling to create cashflow from cows early
Thompson 36% - likely a bit higher now, but surprised he was only the 10th most traded in CTR this week, was expecting him to be top 3
23% have Turbo not playing this week
12% have DCE not playing this week, much higher than his 3.5% overall ownership after getting 3 tries last week and a few top teams captaining him

Looks like a great round to catch up if you have missed the early disappointments.

like alot of people got the Smith and no Party problem.

Was going to hold but getting nervous about Smith. Havent got the cash to go up on the hooker. So if i do trade the best move looks Boyd only. So would need to cross my fingers and pick up a gun hooker by round 5.

TU: Smith I.Kotao to Sutton Carty
    TD: Hold

Plan would probably be Carty Sutton to Grant/Cook Rookie before round 5.

Could you go Collins instead of Sutton? Would prefer him for output at a similar price point, Roosters in a similar situation to Bulldogs, but he is likely to be a strong option right through to Origin. Another in 2nd year back from ACL, a bit like Harris and Carrigan, showing significantly higher output this season than last.

Top 5000 ownerships are pretty meaningless after one round when there is 30 points difference between 5000th and 15000th.

I for one am surprised that the round's top-scoring player is over represented in the best scoring teams.

If trading out Smith surely you wouldn't want to bring in another Rooster with the bye in rd4, that's half the appeal that I think is convincing people the trade out stacks up (I'm holding Smith for what it's worth)

I just watched the whole thing - there was no hesitation with the “yep he’s ready to
Go” . If he’s not good to go, Robbo deserves a Logie

JWH seems almost certain to be named next week and Napa is a couple of weeks from full training and playing ressies.

Lots of intelligent talk about HIA after the debacles with Ricky and Cooker Gus this week too in that presser.

If I go him then I cant go Cartright. Dont really want someone with a bye.

I can get anyone 606k or lower for Smith Straight (1k short of Bird)

I already have Loiero Ford etc.

Ill be dumping cleary next week. appreciate he rolled his ankle last night but just as he looked in game 1, he looks a little lost without Koro. Not involved in attack at all, not running at the line at all. Dont know if there is something wrong with him. Will pick him up in a few weeks once his bottomed out in the low 800s

The top ranked team in overall rankings has the entire penrith starting side as their team lol

That's OK. We can overtake them next week when Penrith have the bye.
