Things that have gone well
- didn't start with Cleary. Thought there were a handful of players that should average 60+ and Cleary was going to be super popular cos of Hynes being out. Glad I stuck to my guns. Unfortunately I captained Murray so was unable to get a boost on the Cleary Captainers!

- starting with carty and trindall and playing them in my 17 both weeks so far. Preseason thought trindall would get 2-3 games and him getting 80 points in that time was better than a random cheapie get 40-50. Hoping for one more week. Carty gets atleast one more week you'd think in that big min edge role.

- Walsh in for Brandon Smith this week. Had 4 cheapies in my back 5 and thought Walsh would be super low owned amongst serious teams as he missed round 1. Started well so far but am feeling nervous about Cheese playing minutes in the middle with his running game against the Warriors.

What's gone wrong
- due to Keppie and Stone missing with no clear trade in options I've still got to play one of Talau and AKP as my 17th man.

- only 3 games so far but Tapine and Murray have had a quiet start to the season. Won't be trading out either until they disappoint 3-4 weeks in a row and don't look like scoring 60-70

Going to miss most of the weekend with park cricket finals but hoping to end up in the top 5k or so to have a real crack at the top 1k in the next couple of weeks!

290k* made last night is a pretty good night of fantasying.

6c/372 which feels above average for Cleary captainers, but below average overall.

Only real downer other than Cleary was an underwhelming 42 from Robson. Hoping Tapine, Butcher, and Doueihi can perform as my more PODy players.

Someone asked at the end of the last thread if we would be captaining Hopgood when Matterson is back.

I may go to another option in round 4, if Matterson is on the bench, but if Hopgood is getting 60-70 minutes then, you probably stick with him if still scoring well.

71 minutes for 2 TA, 1 LB, 1 LBA, 47 tackles, 1 TB, 4 OF, 1 TO and 145m for 85 fantasy points. Getting massive base in both weeks so far and has a great attacking game. Looking like Haas with upside.

Could be a changing of the guard season, with the next generation of players coming through, with Walsh also looking like a top fantasy talent.

Hodgo has been added to the trade rage pile for next week. Just not having a lot of luck with the HOK position thus far.

Nice rundown @teetheater late last night, some different observations.


Ive got a feeling NAS is belting out a 75+ tonight.

I'm so annoyed, I captained Hopgood confidently in week 1, then went to Cleary this week. Feels like a massive fail.

As they ran out of the tunnel last night, I traded Cheese to Walsh, which put him in my position 19, then a couple clicks later Walsh was in my playing 17, I must have made it by seconds. Imagine if it locked out when he was at 19. Noob vibes still hanging around, akin to years ago when I used to love insisting on a thursday night captain [love u Surgess].

Stoked with the Sharks performance, I was thinking a loss was coming pregame. But they look gr8, Hynes to come even.

The way the game is going nowadays, the only acceptable option for Drinkwater would have been to actually dive to his right and remove himself from the play, not even being sarcastic. It's a shame, but here we are.
