Thought about it.
Trading out Smith/Cleary or Doueihi
Trading in Cook/Walsh, maybe Mahoney
rying to get a trade I am happy with long term, as well as just this round

Misses this round, round 7 with the tigers bye, and tigers don't play R13. Started both games slow, but in his favour he has found a way to save his score.
No halves I really want to trade him to and don't have cover, so guess I've answered my own question. Definition of a luxury trade?

I am looking to add halves, not trade one out. I think most are in a similar situation - Trindall exiting soon, Boyd underperforming, Katoa unreliable scorer.
What about people who intended on keeping Cleary, looping and are confident the VC will score so be keeping it on Cleary give themselves more flexibility for trades by locking in 1 less person?my tv broke wrote:
Good point - iirc the captain 'position' is locked on at start of round, so if so it would have to be another half. As DCE (and Moses) have already played then it can't be them (just ran the script), so probably pretty accurate those numbers for Cleary(C). Or maybe it isn't i can't actually remember.

I don't know what halves you'd be running with, but bringing in either Cook or Mahoney would be my pick of those three. Probably Cook first, then Mahoney then Walsh.

Halves are Trindall + Boyd
Not bringing in Walsh means playing ITT
Not bringing in a hooker or half means playing Smith
Obviously Cook is better, but if I leave myself with no money for next week then is it really worth it?
my tv broke wrote:Captain percentages for this round, for teams inside the top 20000 (at end of round 2).
J'maine Hopgood 51.93%
Harry Grant 16.90%
Daly Cherry-Evans 5.08%
Cameron Murray 4.20%
Nathan Cleary 3.74%
Payne Haas 3.11%
Patrick Carrigan 1.90%
Tohu Harris 1.63%
Mitchell Moses 1.46%
Brandon Smith 1.38%
Damien Cook 0.89%
Reed Mahoney 0.86%
Latrell Mitchell 0.76%
So i guess nearly 800 teams inside the top 20000 either gave up/forgot already re Cleary (C).. teams with all Panthers/Eels probably.

Did 75% of the top 20k captain Hopgood/Grant/DCE because they thought they were the best option, or are those 15,000 people ranked where they are because they had the C on one of those 3 when they scored 80s/90s in round 1? I'd say a good portion would have to be the latter right? Surely it takes 4 or 5 rounds before the wheat gets separated from the chaff - for example I am currently ranked in the top 10k and I built my team on vibe alone

It’s the perfect plan

For the small % of people that still have a spare trade by Sunday 305pm when we find out, if Katoa scores another 11 or there's no half cover in your squad, Burton could be an option.
As much as I like Douiehi as a fantasy option, there's a small part of me not convinced he makes the Tigers a better team overall.
