    I have few guys I'm thinking about this week;

    Leo Thompson - I'm short a mid, this guy is a machine and the Knights are so short for the next month he should be locked for good minutes. A good bench guy who should make some decent coin.

    Turbo - Best bang for buck gun IMO. I'm pretty stacked in back though.. But I don't want to rely on Sloan too much (back to back 40's though, I'm not complaining).

    Schuster - I'm short a half with Trindell likely gone. Pretty lack luster fantasy score, but could be a perfect looper/half back up while he builds his season, and could be a keeper or perfect guy to have in EMG.

    Burton - Another good bang for buck (semi) gun.

    I'm feeling trigger happy on Butcher, he doesn't look great and isn't scoring well. He'll probably turn around, but I am stacked with edges and there is cash to be made elsewhere.

    Next trade option is either Trindell or Doorey. Do we know much about his injury? He doesn't seem fantasy made anyway, and with Matterson then Lane returning, he's probably about done anyway.

    I have a chunk of cash, so my options are;

    Doorey + Trindell -> Thompson and Schuster (This gives me a super deep roster, with Preston, Schuster, Carty and Butcher fighting for the last 2 spots on the bench. Too sideways maybe?)

    Doorey + Butcher -> Turbo and Thompson (I can afford to keep Trindell for a week, save/make money with Thompson over Butcher for similar output, then get Turbo in as a gun WFB and have Sloan as a loop guy)

    Thinking the last option makes my team the better on paper.

    Got him last week, needed a hooker with dumping Smith. Has a decent price right now based on history, and being captain I think his minutes will stay high. Looks like he's not clicking in attack right now. Should be a keeper all year, especially once the Tigers sort their shit out (they have too, looking at that roster. Well, by sorting their shit out, I mean win a game here and there).

    Have api, he was the next best hooker to bring in after I couldn’t afford Mahoney last week

    Scored well, was busy and was trying hard which lead to a few unfortunate demerits

    More importantly to me he passed the eye test, with a big more luck he combines with his middles for attacking stats

    Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather have a gun (robson, cook, grant,) but he’s adequate for the tier below

    As bad as wests are he is still solid

    Api could get more attack points through the middle but he's a step ahead of them atm though. That said he's unlikely to let you down at 632k.

    “Another way of looking at it was he scored 50 in 15 mins of attacking play”

    All you need to know right here in convincing you why Walsh is worth a punt!

    (Sorry Gaz, made an absolute meal of quoting you)

    Is Garner on anyone's radar? Score 63 with 9TB's from 66mins in rd2. Thinking to take him as an alternative to Katoa for 50k less.

    No offence to Walsh but if he needs 2 tries to get to 50 I’m not sure he is capable of a ton.
    After 36 games as a starting fullback his highest score is 66.

    Yes, he seems reliant on Broncos dominating attack. However, he has returned 2 x 50+ scores to date and passes the eye test.

    I was happy to punt on him as my third FB.

    I heard he re-aggravated his hammie when a Bunnies supporter jump hugged him at the game.

    I'm looking at MCK or Carty as a potential Doorey replacement. Bit late, but could be 10+ points underpriced if they can hold their spots awhile longer.

    Week 2: Trindall to Tedesco (10k bank)

    I suppose the question is... is Ted worth 120k more than Walsh and is it worth emptying the bank for. Bank will actually rise by whatever Trindall scores (won't be playing him) but amounts are for if he doesn't play and assuming a 50 from Brailey.
    A is superior to me. Value can’t be ignored.

    Sam Walker is worth a look from here on. Averaged just under 50 in his last 9 in 2022 and picked up his floor scoring from his debut year.

    Probably not too much value at 675k and there are other cheaper options, e.g., Fogarty at 646k.

    Agree, unless there's a more pressing issue, Butcher is not giving us any reason to hold him and the timing is right.
