CHN is probs a trade out, yea. He's been tentative/lazy 3 weeks in a row. Not much aggression and hiding out there. I'll probably hold him for another week or two, not expecting the tide to turn tbh.

Career average of 45 as a starting second rower where he averages 30 tackles and 85 metres. Similar base in 3 games so far I'm backing him to hit around that 45 average mark. Maybe I catch a purple patch with a few tries

I nearly started with him this year. Just concerned how he will go and worried if he gets about 50 it's not much value and you're stuck when trying to jump up to another gun

Running with Grant/Brailey though does sound good if Brailey hits his straps.

The extra trades might change it this year, but most teams don't make nearly enough cash to have an "optimal" 17/18 come end of season. Having a 50 average guy hanging around in 17 isn't a bad thing

But it does seem difficult. My feeling to some extent is to not rip your team apart entirely, which is the case in most years really. A core group in key positions seems better to me than trying to fill every spot. I'm certainly not gonna give a shit if I have no centres those rounds.

Will once again be following the MS captaincy options strategy

Won't be trading in any centres and probably not any WFBs for the bye rounds

I had a quick look yesterday. I think it’s going to be pretty difficult to get 13 out every major bye. And then 17 in 14/17/20. My current team in diabolical for R13, assuming Origin. But probably only needs 2-3 weeks to fix I guess.

Not really fantasy related, but can anyone explain why the Eels have had so many Thurs/Fri games already this year? Pure luck or is there a scheduling reason? Seems a bit weird to have so many so early

Hey mate given that Havili and Knight aren’t gonna be back til around mid season, Shaq is gonna be out quite a while he’s got a fracture in his foot, Arrow is gonna be out another 4 weeks having re aggravated his hammy, Junior 2-3 weeks out, the only one we get back is likely next week Hame Sele and he’s very injury prone. So yeah we are light in the forwards.

Chee Kam is gonna stay in the team and given that Hosty (back this week) didn’t have much of a pre season due to the shoulder surgery he had and then he’s done his calf I think he’s gonna start off the bench and build his fitness up. So Chee Kam should stay starting for now I think but it’s just a matter of how many mins he gets he mightn’t get 80mins every week but he should still play solid mins 60-65mins you’d think til Tatola is back. I’m expecting Koloamatangi to have to keep shifting to middle mid game due to all the middles we have out as Host and Jed off the bench can both play edge.

Hosty has played some middle before too so who knows he might have to play some middle for us. If you wanted Chee Kam he could be a sneaky one that does get up to that 550k mark.

Nice info. I guess the question is for those who didn't jump on Chee Kam or Carty who is the better pick now? Carty seems to be the better scorer and does the Doorey injury buy him more time? I guess it depends how long Lane is out for and if Maddo plays on an edge

Think this is my first ever good start to the season in over 10 years of playing nrl fantasy.

    Scored 856 and ranked 341st.

Still have warbrick + hunt in my wfb and tboyd trindall and doueihi as my hok and wfb with 0 cover.

Was thinking of trindall + dfifita/carrigan out for Kiraz and starling.

Starling has been excellent stats wise for 3 games. Even if he's job sharing with Woolford if he can maintain his form I'd be happy with him. Brought in Birdaat round so Bird Starling and Kiraz would be 3 low ownership guys who I think could do well.

Any key concerns over Starling or Kiraz? And any thoughts on who to trade out out of dfifita and carrigan? Dfifita has a bye coming up whereas carrigan I'm only considering as I have haas tapine murray and carrigan and wanted to trade one of them for team balance as my half and hok are super light.

You're clearly going ok with your stacked mids. Wouldn't be trading out one of the reasons you've started well. Doueihi is far more of a trade imo, though appreciate it sounds like you'd have to get a half instead of Starling (who'll still probably be a 50-minute hooker, so that's no bad thing).

And a reminder in case you don't have him that Tom Turbo is cheaper than Jacob Kiraz and PODs mean nothing if they're not scoring as well as the more conventional pick.
