It's not the referees job to determine how good players are at the game.
If they are denied the opportunity to try and make the play it should be a penalty, regardless of what the odds of success are

Exactly, should be a penalty all day there. Yet it was a try cos Sloan is a bit suspect. hard to believe if Tedesco is impeded like that it’s like “ok play on”.

Wighton trying to downplay his tackle. Was worse than the Graham one that he got a few weeks for.
