I could take a plunge on Crossland @368k, anyone else looking there?

Named hooker, only had the one start there and it was in Brailey's absence this year, went for 55 (50 tackles) in 72 minutes.

His main negative is being a fringe NRL player. And at a BE of 17 it's unlikely that waiting a week to observe will punish the pocket.

Losing Brailey as my only hooker really puts a dent in my trade plans. I can still bring in Hynes, but I would have to take Mahoney as my hooker. For the same price I could forget about Hynes entirely (already save Cleary and SJ) and sure up my hooker position once and for all with Grant + Robson. I am leaning toward the latter, hooker stocks are even scarcer than halves and ive been running with a combination of Cheese, Kenny, Boyd, Brailey to very little success.

I would have been all in if he was given the DPP he cleary deserves.

Have Cleary mate and SJ, so don't particularly NEED Hynes right now, but might be the move I need to start making some inroads after poor start to season

Edit. Can't afford Robson. Anyone uinder $761,000 If i trade Carrigan/Kenny/Hopgood

Looking at Taps and running Boyd/Cheese at hooker for next few weeks.

Carrigan - Tapine does look sideways however, so not worth the trade

In that case can’t you keep Carrigan and just do the Kenny/Hopgood to Hynes/cow?

As much as I’d like to have Hynes in I don’t want to throw my squad balance off, this could change by weekend though. The fact Foran is back makes me a bit more confident running Boyd at hooker.

Would only want Robbo or Cook if I get a hooker in. With Brailey going down this weekend mate, had him pencilled in but having to pivot and spend more.

Have CHeese/Boyd so just looking for Gun there and move one back to bench for cover.

Not sure if I should use him to Haas up.

Any of our Warrior cohorts reckon Ale will usurp Bunty and get more mins and/or the starting role ? Or is it to messy with the returning lads from injury. Really like the look of Ale and want to bring him in.

I have a similar issue and I'm just locking in Cook

Yes mate I can just do the first 2.

Might put the brakes on Hynes and shore up the hooker spot with set and forget and get Bird in to do same with CTR

Do something like Hopgood & Kenny - Robbo/Cook & Bird

Could double cow with Couchman and Crossland. Hopefully one dart hits the target

I could get Hynes too, but getting a Bird and CNK fixes the backs and levels the team out, which feels better so I like those trades.

I’m really coming around to the idea of JMK as an alternative to Robson. Great bye coverage if you find someone else to play Rd 16.

Agreed mate. Got plenty of edges starting to come to come close to milking, easy enough to downgrade/upgrade to get Hynes in a few weeks

Probably the only other option possible, but I try not to pick Rabbitohs for my own reasons. What will you do for the bye if no Robson? Pickings are slim.

I hadn't realised that Croker was straight back in the team as Captain after so much time out.

Don't really like posting my team but the forum tends to get quiet at this time so see if any of the late night crew have any comments, pretty happy with my current squad balance:

    Robson
    Haas McInnes Carrigan
    Wilton EKatoa
    Cleary Johnson
    Lemuelu Alamoti
    Walsh Teddy Miller
    Hosking Preston Ford Boyd
    CNK Sele Blore Talau

Without tempting the fantasy gods I feel I'm in an ok position to try save some trades between now and Origin. Talau has been an such a dud pick but hopefully he will be back after the Tiger's bye to get some cash rolling.

    Yeah mate, settled on:

    Hopgood > McInnes
Brailey (only got him last week lol) > Robson
    Warbrick > Sele

Not 100% sold on Sele was originally on Russell but not keen without DPP. As they're not in my top 18 I just need who makes the most cash so KNik, Couchman, Hunt all options.
