Are we all just guessing on hip drops still or has there been any communication from the top on how they’ll adjudicate?
My understanding was if they left their feet and placed the weight of their hips on the back of the players legs/ankles, that was a hip drop.
SLuke tackle seemed like exactly what to show people who were in doubt of what they’re determining as a hip drop…. Yet he gets a fine?
Am I missing something or is it the NRL are just going to stumble and bumble their way through with relentless inconsistency?

Double checked my team just in case but you must have confused me with someone else

Seems that a small hooker isn't deemed dangerous to drop on your legs.

Yup, this was my take also. But if the small hooker did the exact same thing and snapped his ankle he’ll get suspended then?

Wow, watch it again on normal speed and there wasn't much to it.
I don't get the judiciary this season, it's been very inconsistent so far

They shouldn't, but do take into account any injury to the affected player. Loading seems to be a huge contributor as well. Seems like typically a fine for a first offence (Hopgood, Luke), while those with a history of other dangerous contact are getting bans.

Just checked NW and Oooph yep, captained Sipley for 26 points.
I'm sure a lot of us have done it or similar!

Has anyone checked on Welshy? Looks like he hasn’t been on for a while, hasn’t changed his team by the looks of things and his Twitter is now some suspended account called Debbie Lloyd

According to Facebook his kid is playing a Rugby Cup final this weekend. Might just be occupied with that
