    Hoping that he makes Origin so he misses a few extra games (16 and 19 instead of just 13 and 17 - potentially also 20 since the Sharks play away in NZ that week just after Origin III)

    this will be a popular discussion point this week I think.

    TU: JDB
    TD: Horse

    assuming you can afford either

    I've been high on Horse but I think JDB is just doing too well to ignore - he keeps getting 80 minutes and just racking up huge scores without needing attack.

    (I've reversed my Walsh to Horse trade and have brought in JDB)

    I'm team deathride.

    I'm ranked 22k so far enough behind team/cash that it wouldn't make sense for team balance. Aiming for more value rather than certainty.

    focusing on h2h now, my team is honestly clapped as I keep getting fked without owning Hynes so I'm finally pulling the trigger:

    DCE -> Hynes
    Friz -> Bird
    Preston -> JDB

    Feel like these are sideways asf but it does make my team look better. Still need to figure out what to do with Cook & Murray which I can't believe I'm saying lol

    I had the same decision last week and went for JDB

    I think Horse has the higher ceiling, but JDB just has that nice base.
    Horse more likely of the 2 to get reshuffled into another position too, although the way he's going at the moment not likely to happen soon.

    Thanks yeah it does seem like Horse has the better upside with being cheaper also. JDB looks a nice safe keeper which is what I want and 5 votes to 0 with JDB has pretty much made the decision for me barring some TLT suprises.

    Preston Alamoti to Drinky JDB looks very solid.

    Robson
    Haas Murray JDB
    Hosking Ford
    Hynes Cleary
    Bird Manu
    Teddy Miller Drinky

    Reynolds
    Smith
    I.Katoa
    Bula

    Nikorima
    Couchman
    Tommy T
    Granville

    really just need to upgrade Ford (maybe Hosking) and then 16 17 and im not far away from a team id be happy heading into H2H finals in.

    How do we feel about Preston to Hopgood. Feels a bit too easy?

    Hopefully Matto doesn’t mean Hopgood back to the bench?

    For this round I would rate Hopgood behind JDB, Horse for importance to bring in urgently, unless you need anEDG

    Assume it would be 12. Matto 13. Hopgood like the teamlists last week before the last-minute out, but it would almost certainly mean he loses a fair chunk of minutes because Matto is their big minute middle when he moves inside after 20

    Is it a bit too early for a bit of sideways Cook to Robson action with the byes in mind?

    Could do Cook + Preston to Robson + JDB which is relatively tempting.

    Maybe RCG out means Hopgood also absorbs more middle minutes?

    Could just mean more minutes for Grieg and the rest though, and Hopgood gets shafted. Hard to tell

    Cheap, good goal-kicking base, ceiling of 97 (9 years ago), plays R13 and 19 (for inevitable scores of 19 and 23)...

    Don't tempt me with a good time.

    Probably could wait on the cook to robbo trade. Preston is still probably a hold too. But you could put a case forward to make those moves now.

    Robbo 50 or less v Cook 55 or more
    JDB 60 give or take v Preston 45

    Possibly, the closest comparable we have is Round 6, full-strength forward pack outside of Paulo out (who plays similar minutes to RCG) and Hopgood played 52 minutes, though that does include Cartwright playing 80 at 12, if he comes off the bench and plays 60 like he did from the bench last time, then there’s 20 minutes up for grabs, but then also Grieg started and played 20 that round where as he started and played 40 last round, so it’s possible he’s earned Arthurs’ trust and gets those 20 minutes

    EDIT: probably should be worth noting though that predicting how Arthur uses his bench is an exercise in foolishness

    True, not without risk

    Things could all be equal and Hop will play 70 one week, and 45 the next
