As Joey Manu looks to be good to keep through Origin - I am trying to think of the best WFB to trade Latrell to for Origin

Most promising replacements over origin would have to be Gutherson (R13, 16 & 19) then Averillo (DPP R16 & 19) right?

I'd be tempted to go cheap and use the cash elsewhere, that you can get a real scoring bump. i.e. VTW and iPap vs Gutho and someone meh.

VTW could score just as much as Gutho.

    VTW hasn't been picked yet.

I do not see VTW holding his place long if Brenko and Aitken are fit for me they’re clearly ahead of him. And if you listened to Wayne after match presser last week I get the vibe Te Whare still has lots to work on and he will send him back to reserve grade. Te Whare in defence too lateral movement is poor he will be exposed at this level.

Do not get down on yourself please mate only good enough for 6th in FOG that’s fucking brilliant you’re killing it. You should be proud of that I’d love to be that high. And 954 for this week that’s a very good score in what was a tough week for many.

lol I was 50 off par for top 1000 this week par was 944 I got 892.and down from 312 to rank 648.

Alternatively, play Bula and grab Matterson.

WFB is just a crap shoot at the moment, spending more, doesn't equate to significantly higher scoring, but getting a Matterson / iPap etc can be a 20 point scoring increase on your bench at 17.

I'm not down on myself! Was only pointing to how well the forum is doing this year so far.

Kind of agree with you, although probably with different players and not at absolute base,. Planning on going into the byes with what looks like an underwhelming collection of Manu, Bula and Miller (have them already) plus Garrick and Drinkwater (to come). Then sell Miller to iPap in R14 (might have to be Bateman if Miller pumps out two more low scores). Would cover me for WFBs until R18.

Would certainly pick up VTW for cover/cash if he gets named, but would be kind of surprised if he is.

Dylan Edwards is your man if you want to trade Trell, they're top two for WFBs this year and Edwards plays R16.

If you absolutely must have a WFB playing at least two bye rounds, then just play Bula there and get someone in another position.

The ranking system has been including loops for some time now (even if your score on the main page appears not to)

I think it depends on who you are looping for

My Horsbrugh Loop seemed to be counted from the moment he played and Jackson Ford didn't

Alamoti loop didn't count until final game started and it became clear Kodi Nikorima wasn't suddenly about to take the field (at least, I jumped about 300 ranks after the Sharks game kicked off)

At this point all loops should be counted though, although I know the app sometimes has issues displaying your correct score

Even on desktop it isn't included. The issue appears to be that Weekes was in the last game of the round, was a reserve, but didn't play.

Cobbo's extra 4 points which came in last, also aren't included.

943 for me, a slightly better week after a few bad ones. Not in the top half of the FOG yet, hopefully after Round 13 I will be.

    The good
    Traded in Luki
    Have Latrell from R1
    Alamoti in the loop

    The bad
Same as others Hosking, Manu, Teddy
    Drinkwater was meh too

Next week I need Bird, hurts to run without him. Perhaps Teddy will make way.

You're right about the 18th man points taking a while to come in - as takes a while for system to work out he didn't play.

That must have been a nervous watch today, hoping Weekes didn't sub on for a few minutes at the end due to HIAs

Anyone planning to grab Billy Smith this round?

Looking like he could be this season's Talakai, will be around $430k with a negative BE, averaging 61 without a try.

A centre who hits a couple of outlier scores then averages 35 for the rest of the year but buyers have run out of trades to upgrade him? Yes, possibly, although 35 is optimistic.

Going to start off my post with the usual - I've been on here for over a decade and never had a top 100 rank😅

But this year has been awesome. Traded ponga in as a risky call and he goes nuts. Honestly felt like I missed some of the guys who were cheap and went big like Luki and BSmith..but realised with Hynes to come there's a big opportunity to surge up the rankings.

Ended up with 1054, ranked 74 for the round and the season. Team value 12.7m and 16 trades left - I've gone hard to maintain the top 1-500 rank that I've had for most of the season knowing it might fuck me later haha.

Honestly the best part has been going with my gut and seeing how it plays out. Reminds me of when I first started playing nrl fantasy. All of you would start each season with cam Smith and captain him.
I'd choose farah instead😅 Probably explains why I've never had a good ranking before haha.

Anyways can't wait for lockout! And good to see a few familiar names in the top 10 still!

    NRL PHYSIO (@nrlphysio)
Tough effort from Ronald Volkman, who played out the game after suffering an open finger fracture (bone pierced the skin) in the 1st half last night. Is undergoing surgery & hoping to return in 2 weeks - usual return to play time is 2-4 weeks. Infection risk here with open wound.

    ---------------------

Might see Metcalf in round 13.
