If those two beers in the photo were his, we probably won't see him until Monday

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 50 - Teddy time
I’m here mate was freezing out there tonight. We were just very flat and Parra out enthused us and were very desperate. We missed Tom Burgess massively. Got hammered in the middle. Liam Knight has no brain. Our young halfback had a very off night too. We have been up for a fair while so it’s not a massive surprise it was coming sooner or later. But yes that does hurt. Was 27k there a good turn out.rhinoceroo wrote:Rabbits not around today?
On fantasy I’m 8/607 C only downer has been Cheese a headache I’d rather not have. Could Turpin be worth a look now? If I sell Cheese to someone other than a hooker I’ll have no hooker cover only Robson. I can also do Boyd to Moses in one trade next week hhmmm… well correction Boyd is my cover but getting Moses seems like a good move.
I held Teddy I guess you have to hold now? Hopefully Hopgood doesn’t make origin. Tatola 44 in 54mins I was happy with that fantasy wise.
Edit can afford Cheese to Moses in one trade next week and hold Boyd.
Nice to see AJ get a 50 for me tonight as well! At least I got to yell out AAAJJJJJJJJJJ

Not sure if this has been mentioned
The reason Sheens has come out talking contract extensions about Brooks in the last 24 hours...
"Off-contract Warriors star Johnson rejects Tigers bid to extend career in Sydney."
I thought the Tigers might try and come in for him.
Also raised on NRL360.

Not picking JDB after Anzac Day has completely fucked me
Majority of my trades after then have been bad at best and horrific at worse

He's been absolutely immense. Unfortunately it's one of those situations where I found it hard to believe the big minutes would continue, and by the time it was clear he was a gun to have, I just didn't have the funds or trades to get him in when considering all the other fires/priorities.
Definitely one to reflect on after the season because he's 100% a what could have been.
Since round 9 (when he was a reasonably clear buy):
Cotter: 22, 70, 40, pretend placeholder of a 50 score (46 average and 182 points)
De Belin: 76, 72, 69, 74 (73 average and 291 points)
Safe to say this was an objectively wrong decision.

You can justify it by saying your team has a ‘no shit kents policy’. Doesn’t get the points back but feels slightly better.
I actually traded JDB in before the game, then remembered the caretaker coach and thought his minutes might be reduced so reversed trades. Bit disappointed but at least I don’t have to look at him in my team and feel like I’m harbouring a shit kent amongst my plodders.

As the only poster here who has ever challenged SI to the prestigious soft cock award JDB wouldn’t be a good fit for your team.
On a side note, would be really good to know if the Hammer is making origin. Need to make a couple of trades this week but so many ins and outs have question marks over them.

Morning all. What a rollercoaster that Dragons game was. Wife is away so watched the game with my kids instead of doing boring things like getting them showered. That amazing Teddy try made my 6yo cry hahahaha. He was ok a minute later and went berserk with the match winner. As did I tbf.
579/7c seems immense but really need to wait for Hynes captainers to get done to see where it lands.
Like many I’m either playing 16 or make a CTR trade
CTR trade out is iKatoa or Niko - probably former due to money to be made. Is that logic sound or Niko too much of a risk?
Trade in… Burbo I guess. Don’t mind Olam or Hiku value at their prices but would never buy someone so mid in another position, so don’t think I should at centre.
Anyone else I’m missing as options there?

His DPP will be handy in 13 and 16 as I’m short at WFB.
My trade out is RFM.

Ooh Koula definitely worth a look. Thanks!
Works as wing R13 and centre R16 for me
I did look at Hammer for similar but don’t know about Origin selection

I think if I had more than 5mins to think about a centre trade in after I found out about Bird then Burbo or Hiku would've been the two options (other than Billy).
Hiku super mid range but can probably just about be justified with the rd13 and 16 coverage. Can't shake the feeling Burbo is going to be a trap but at worst he's a $220k one that won't be the end of the world.
The other one would've actually been considering trading Alamoti back in.

Up to second in play, a few points behind BCT.
It’s really starting to hurt not having JDB and we’ll done going Burbo in place of Billy Smith with the late Bird replacement.

304/4 so far this week. Rock and diamonds.
Just juggling wether to take Seles 31 or play Niko tonight? Milford still in the team is concerning

I'd probably take the punt on Niko. You'd like to think the downside is only 5 or so points but the upside could potentially be 10-15
