Bird to Edwards seem like the right play, but the discourse around the NSW fullback spot is giving me some pause, but even if they drop Teddy, surely 1. Latrell 4. Graham seems the most likely adjustment?

IMO Latrell doesn't have the game for fullback in origin and is the perfect origin centre

With lack of stoppages and ball continuously in play you want your entire back 3 to be returning kicks and taking hit ups on play 1 and 2. Latrell has about 4 of those in total this year.

Keeping him at centre he stays fresh and gets to make maximum impact from ~10 touches

What would change that moving forward

Anyone that claims to know is lying, I doubt Ricky even knows.

Whitehead is suspended, that's the only thing that's changed really.

Couchman, Bird, HTF to Oloapu, Ramien, Ipap/Bateman.

    Solid enough?

Was interesting to see the overwhelming support for Ipap over Bateman in the community team

You are correct that he played well and wasn't the problem.

But so much of what NSW does is always an overreaction to baying media and the average punter. NSW was stilted in attack, Penrithball didn't work this game. There's a Dally M winner on the bench being used incorrectly.

They aren't going to drop Cleary. Or Yeo. Luai is considered both overrated and a dickhead, mainly because an alleged perpetrator of domestic abuse made it his agenda in the media for about a year.

So there's definitely a decent chance Luai is dropped.
Now that Matts said he wont be dropped its $1.10 hes goooone.

Always thought about this when people whine about Inglis. If he was from NSW we would've treated him like Hayne, shunted him between the wing and being dropped for being lazy. Probably plays like 15 Origins over 8 seasons instead of the millions he did

Even Andrew Johns spent a good chunk of the peak of his career playing hooker

Like nobody is immune for getting NSW stink on them. Except maybe Kurt Gidley Very Happy

It was a pretty heroic reading of the rules to get Inglis to Queensland, but it was still legit by the letter if not the spirit. Tonie Carroll (Qld and NZ), Adrian Lam (PNG and NZ), even the legendary Steeler Craig Smith (Qld and NZ) bit more questionable

It's all about Queensland pride until you just need some warm bodies. Why I gave zero fucks when Mulitalo missed out on Qld due to rules being enforced.

I'm going to start another one and say that while a sausage roll can be eaten with the hands, a pie should be eaten with a knife, fork and cold sauce (I can link a wikipedia entry for all the Blues explaining cutlery if necessary)

He's a 10/10 centre and an 8/10 fullback. Makes sense for him to play 1 at club level, because the position is so important, but definitely prefer him in the centres at rep level

I do like To'a, but feel like you could just as easily be describing Ramien. Plays 16 and 19, averaging around 40 (38), ability to go big... But he's 100k cheaper and plays for a better team.

Given that I need 2 WFB and a CTR just to field 17 this week, I'm getting both of them. And Edwards

Agreed. But the Api / Chin / Luai / Ted spine is not working, and there's no way Freddie drops Ted (C), or Chin (who they've gone all-in on) or Api (who played well. So, by that reasoning, Luai will be the scapegoat. The drums were already beating for Hynes (extremely marketable, Dally M winner etc.) to start.

I would argue the other way, and can argue with To'o JAC you don't need Latrell returning kicks (he doesn't anyway as above) Just get his hand on the ball as much as possible.

Kid also grows a leg when challenged.

Walsh only made 81m Wednesday, not your prototypical fullback return if he's expected to run ball back all day but his touches out the back mattered
