Am tempted to get on the Turps this week (need a hook for rnd 16) and he will make a bit of cash quickly if BS9 is actually out til rnd 20..

If he averages high 30’s he’s making about 120 right? God he just stinks

I think I've got my trade plan set for the next two weeks, thoughts?

Cleary to Bateman now (I think Bateman is top priority given that I don't have a ton of edges anymore and he's playing a bit of middle too, plus I just love him as a player).

Leaves me 359k bank and 18 green dots this week, and then for next week there are two scenarios:

    • Moses makes Origin - I just hold trades and have 11 players. I would need to buy a half for round 17, but I would deal with that problem then.

    • Moses misses Origin - I trade Tatola to Moses and have 12 players next week.

I could trade Tatola to Moses now and have 24k to spare but I think the risk of Moses making Origin is too great to justify going early.

My team after trades this week:

Listed as round 19 return fyi. Historically he’s tough as nails, early return wouldn’t be a shock

    Reed tempting at 200k more?

Any tigers fans keen to offer some input as to if they think Bateman will continue to get minutes in the middle? I see Kepoa in the subs again?

Probably looking at a WFB (have Walsh, Ponga, Bula and Manu). Think Walsh might cop at least 1 rest + 3 byes left means I’ll probably sell later on

You might not listen to me after I’m leaning towards Marzhew. The only issue with Marzhew I’m seeing is next 3 games of Broncos/Roosters/Panthers but low games have been in 30s. But like advice above I’m at least looping Nikorima prior to making decision

    I already have Moses

Seems like you’ve got a plan and in a different position to most

I already have 3 wfb for 16 (Drinky Ponga Bula)

I’m probably sticking to my conservative plan of Cleary to Fainu

I’m not comfortable with Moses even if he’s a 10% chance of origin

I’ll have cash in the bank next week to go Niko to anyone I want pending origin teams

No help from Andrew Johns on who he thinks should be NSW half on Freddy and Eighth Evil or Very Mad

And Freddy obviously coy on details.

Perhaps Freddy not naming the team until Tuesday may not necessarily be to look at players but just make sure a select couple get through unscathed.

This is from the mole today, he's close friends with Sheens.

So why did the Tigers let consistent forward Joe Ofahengaue go to the Eels mid-season?

Watch for a change in the way they play in-form Englishman John Bateman to learn the answer.

Bateman has been an edge forward all his career but I'm hearing the Tigers are planning to turn him into a middle.

Seemed to work alright even though we came up short. Kepaoa had been subbing on for Talau and playing CTR lately, but with Ofa gone, he came on for Klemmer and played EDG with Batman moving to LK. Kepa started some EDG earlier in the season too, so might stay that way if Talau's fit to play 80.

My only concern is Batman trying to do too much and breaking like Doui and Hastings in the past. Different positions though and I'd probably be notorious for talking about injury risk if I'd been playing NRLF the past few years.

I’m convinced they pick Hynes because otherwise nothing makes sense. And yeah things often dont make perfect sense with Fittler but this would be next level - breakdown of pathways and admitting the system for NSW is broken.

Hynes has been in the emerging squad, advanced to 18/19 man, then to bench. Basically been anointed next in line for 2 years provided he progressed at club level, which Dally M player of the year says he has. What sort of message is it to not pick him replace Cleary, just because of a missed tackle out of position or because you want someone less good but more experienced to manage the game because it’s in QLD

Don’t totally buy into the NSW don’t get Origin but this would be NSW don’t get Origin

Anyway getting Moses in hope that sanity prevails

I don't think Moses getting picked necessarily means Hynes doesn't, it could mean that Hynes plays 5/8 with Moses at halfback or something like that.

Great post and 100% agree mate. No point in carting around Hynes for 2 years if he gets ditched. Just worried he comes in at 6. Luai's good game last game is promising though and also would be a bad look if Luai got dropped.

    I think I will, but we'll see.

I currently have 5 guys out that week (Hynes, Bateman, Bula, Oloapu, HEdwards) but planning to sell the latter two of them, which would get me to 18 players if everyone backs up (Haas, Fifita, Walsh).

It will be tight but I don't mind playing 16 if the alternative is buying some shitto just to have 17 players.

Haha yeah. I might be able to, but mentally prepared myself a couple of weeks ago that I might be running 16. Hopefully just a CTR down with some fan-dangling and jiggery-pokery.

Will be happy with whatever 17 I'm able to trot out.

I currently have 13 + possibly Tedesco and Haas backing up.
Hoping to use 2-3 trades to get 16-17 on the park. Crossing all fingers and toes that I don't cop any unexpected outs.
