Might bring it back for one week just so we can induct a new immortal

Cook in at 9 pretty easily.
Think they go with someone that can cover a few positions at 14 so don't think Robson is in any danger of being picked
Burton the front runner, Wighton(regardless of anything said about retiring) then slim pickings.

Simpkin feels like a get out of jail free card for those with no Round 16 hooker.
What’s the quality of the backup like? Any chance he plays the 80?

Cook and Robson with Moses and Hynes in the halves. Hopgood to replace Arrow.

I’m in the unusual position this week where my only clear sell is Cleary and tough to figure out whether I chase Simpkin, Fainu.
Tatola is a bit of a luxury sell, but then have fair few after R16 to remove (Billy Smith, Loiero, Walsh?) Looking to sell Nikorima next week for Matterson if available

Possibly see something like Laurie 5/8 for Brooks and Will Smith utility

Is it because you already have a hooker for next week that you are unsure on Simpkin next week?
6 weeks and 2 big bye rounds compared to someone who might get you two games?

I already have Robson and short on MIDs like everyone else
Was more thinking both, could do with cash gen, have 9 trades after Cleary so slightly above average

Ended up doing Cleary > Moses (no captaincy on Moses so can reverse if mail comes out he's the frontrunner for the 7 for NSW) and Hosking > Bateman which seems like a good call so far.
Is Tino going to face any issues for the hit on Koro? I didn't see it or hear any commentary so I don't know if it was an accident or whether what Tino did was illegal.

I do wonder if they will put Hynes in at #14 to play some hooker, then run either Luai & Reynolds or Walker & Reynolds in halves

Ahh all good. Yeah would be a nice little boost if they both manage to stick around for a while.

Been thinking about this a lot, and just can't go past the logic of Hynes is the reigning Dally M Medalist, and halfback of the year (2022). He only didn't start game 1 because Cleary is one of the GOATs. Hynes missed one crucial tackle in Origin 1, but he was playing out of position, on debut, with blokes he's not really trained with before.Finch wrote:I do wonder if they will put Hynes in at #14 to play some hooker, then run either Luai & Reynolds or Walker & Reynolds in halves
I think the most likely, and most sensible case, is to just pick Hynes at 7, Luai at 6 (who had a decent game) and Burton at 14.

Gotta make a mental note to save a trade for Koroisau's return down the line, he's going to be cheap as chips with no byes to come once he's back (assuming it's only 6ish weeks or something)
