Cleary will probably be named in reserves then come in late just to make things difficult

    For now

I'd probably trade Lemu to Yeo at final teamlists on Sunday. Never know if Ivan rests everyone again. They beat the Knights fairly comfortably without any origin players, so could afford to rest everyone again vs Dolphins. Still some decent MIDs playing later if you need one.

Yes. Don't risk it all on a WFB who has concussion proneness and with the ability to go sub 20 with a try. and is a WFB

Yeah I get it, was just a thought. Hynes C is the pick for everyone who isn't bringing Cleary straight in this week.

TU: Cleary + Quai-Ward or Wilson (whoever keeps their spot)

    TD: Grant + Nanai/Fitzgibbon/Max King

Another for my “played a generation (or two) too late” list

In saying that, I think it's worth remembering that Josh Reynolds and the great Trent Hodkinson were the NSW halves for State of Origin in 2014.
That was the year that NSW broke Queensland's 8 series win streak and it was the only time NSW won a series across the 12 years from 2006 to 2017.

Reynolds also played two grand finals in his time with the Bulldogs.
Not bad for a guy who'd NRL quality seemed largely built around energy and effort

Wait a week on bringing in Fifita? His role after Origin 1 scares me.

    This is fun

    Preston, Bula, AFB out
Fifita, Edwards, DCE in (DCE can be Cleary if named)

If there is someone who can score a 2 try 75 in 35 minutes backing up, its Fifita.

The draw was the big calling. Cleary back probably helps. Think Panthers will really start to click in the next two weeks.

Think the post Origin 1 resting was more caused by concussion in Origin 1

If Holbrook was still the coach...
But unless something happens in Origin, or Fifita is starting from the bench, then I think it's probably best to get on as soon as...

Problem with Tago is that he's on the left side, and Cleary back might mean the ball goes right more - Tago's averaging 41 with Cleary and 55 without.

At this early stage, looking at:

Bula, Liddle, Lemmy -> Fifita, Grant and DCE

Fitting in Cleary might just have to be a problem for future me
