    Actually sad about this.

    Fully expect us to lose Hunt in the off-season and end up with a halves combo of Amone and, I dunno, Zac Lomax? While Sullivan develops into a decent first grade half and steers the Tigers back to 9th place.

    I think deep down you know it's going to be Kyle Flanagan

    With the cooling off periods, I figure most singing are locked up for a few weeks before they get announced. Especially after a few high profile backflips a few years ago

    Hey guys - no one has DMd me so last call.
    If you are keen please just email me at nakul@wicky.ai this arvo. Am out so won't have time to check in on here.
    I'll have at least a couple to hand out (they're from draftstars/playup - I'm passing them on for free obviously btw)

    This is for free tickets to tigers v dolphins tomorrow at 3pm at commbank btw.

    I still can't get my head around how the Tigers signed Koroisau, Bateman, iPap, and Klemmer and got worse (4 wins last year, just 3 so far this year). Adding that much talent at once should at least buy you a couple of extra wins, surely.

    On paper their pack is three origin reps (Stefano, Koro, Klemmer), a guy who had a fair argument to be the best second rower in the world not that long ago (Bateman), and a guy who was Daly M second rower of the year only two seasons ago (iPap).

    With that in mind, I can't imagine signing Sullivan is going to move the needle too much.

    its pretty sad.

    After all the signings I genuinely thought we would be competitive this year. Went into the first few rounds with so much hope and then it was dashed pretty quickly.

    Sad watching goo players come here to die, wish we could get a decent coach who could get something out of them.

    When you put it like that...

    I guess outside Api the spine is pretty weak but 3 wins is still appalling.

    This is why I can't be mad at the Dragons team, on field at least. I feel like with their roster they are actually doing pretty well to have 5 wins and more than a few close ones on top of that.

    lol! Wonder if it was due to his "I'm not sure who's making the decisions at the moment" comment this week. That is if it was treu he even said that, but it was reported in a few places.

    Ripley wouldn't put up with this shit

    A few of my recent favourites from the Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis:

    "The five-year plan has become a four-year plan in a sense that we’ve accelerated one year from where we thought we might be. We’ve landed in a good place."

    "I think in that time the club has turned a corner. I appreciate two wooden spoons doesn’t necessarily bespeak that"

    I'm going to use a couple of synonyms to put it in the full light it deserves;
    bespeak = indicate
    necessarily = automatically

    So again:
    "I think in that time (his 3 years as chairperson) the club has turned a corner. I appreciate two wooden spoons doesn’t automatically indicate that"

    Going from 11th when he became Chair, to 13th then winning two wooden spoons under his tenure doesn't automatically indicate that the club has turned a corner? - I mean, maybe it does in terms of it's the first things we've won in a while...

    Tbf to the Tigers I don’t think they expected Wakeham and Will Smith to be steering them around the park quite so much this year.

    Tbf to the Dragons they are really overachieving given their roster (it doesn’t lack talent it’s just it’s either raw or in it’s twilight years)

    The Bulldogs are just shit

    If the comp ladder was based on the vibe instead of wins and losses, Bulldogs would get the wooden spoon from me.
