MTVB - maybe change your false news announcements to be "news from the Shire" or similar. Seems that some may take them as serious news.

Hi everybody, since about a week after last years grand final I have:

    Read no NRL articles.
Not kept up with player transfers.
    Watched zero trial games.
    Done no player/stats research.
Not looked up who is under/over priced.
Have not read any posts here.

I am woefully unprepared, and am now trying to put together a team in half a day.

    This is the way.

    Get Cleary
Choose one of Haas, Murray, Hopgood
    Get Papy
    Get Cheese (imo)
    Get Luki
    Get Piakura
Get Weekes (swap for Strange if named)
Get Burbo (probably a trap but is going to trap us all)
    Get Shughes (shoes)
    Get Wong/Sitili (if you dare)
Get Curran/Salmon (whoever named at lock)
The following mids have value: Tatola, Cotter, Flegler, Lolo

    that's the basic cliff notes

I reckon he should play into it even more. Let's get all the podcasts reporting on the fake news while us Fanatics have the knowledge of the real Sauce .

Would recommend using the yafss optimiser to build a team and edit from there. You can adjust a bunch of parameters such as gun count, players in each position and players from single team. You can also adjust the score predictions if you see something you don't agree with. It will even without changing parameters, give you a foundation that is pretty close to what most around here are building.

Great summary, but would say that the Lolo take isn't a popular opinion here.

In terms of team structure, most of us are spending a bit more at WFB and CTR than in previous years, due to job security issues for most of the cheapies.

In the halves - popular players here are Fogarty due to increased role and goal kicking and Hutchison who is starting HLF for Bulldogs.

By 1:30pm tomorrow EST you need to have a complete team of 21 players, have selected a C and VC. Grab a VC from this weekend to lock in the points.

Hot takes of players that are more popular here than their ownership would suggest, that many of us see having potential value as PODs:
    Smithies
    Turbo
    Rapana
    Kiraz
    Simonsson
    Penis

If Lussick is the only HOK named for Eels you want to get him.

The Sea Eagles held their captain’s run at Allegiant Stadium, but Brooks took no part in the main session.

He has been managing a calf issue, but Manly officials are adamant he will play.

Young half Jake Arthur remains on standby on the extended bench in case Brooks suffers a late setback.

The good thing about this is that it won't resemble their final team with all the changes we are all making by next week.
