    https://www.nrl.com/news/2024/03/08/fogarty-ready-to-take-the-lead-and-let-ethan-be-ethan/

"Fogarty hoped Raiders fans will be patient with Strange throughout the season and allow him time to develop as a regular NRL player.

“Ethan played the way we wanted him to tonight,” Fogarty said of his new halves partner.

“Obviously he’s going to get better as the season goes on, and he’s going to get more and more comfortable, more and more confident, and I just hope that everyone lets Ethan be Ethan."

I thought he looked pretty solid.
There were a couple of moments in the second half where he looked ready to take on some initiative in the play, but definitely didn't over play his hand and looked very cool and comfortable in general (and especially defending).

Like someone said, new halves (e.g. Katoa) can be a slow burn, but probably makes good coin without too much fuss

Levi got the minutes and the try, I was surprised he didn't get more points when I checked his score after the game, but then he did make some silly error and gave away dumb penalties

It’s a punt mate I know it could backfire. But hey worst case is in a month he’s a straight swap to Campbell.

Haven’t started great though 8/373 C seems a fair way behind many others. Ponga, Sitili, Piakura and Strange have let me down sadly. Mind you I guess 21 isn’t awful from Strange.

    I think we've seen what's probably Strange's floor - and plenty would've played him.
21 isn't the worst score in week 1 of fantasy - that would be Piakura's zero Laughing

I'm guessing Sitili might have gotten anywhere between 60-80 minutes without the injury - if that continues he makes money

So 300 with these to go.

Grant, Hopgood, Cotter, Flegler, Salmon, Cleary(c), Kini, Paps, Chan, Flanagan. 550?

    850 about par this week?

I need half cover, now that we have seen Strange in action, who is my cover for all of HLF, CTR and WFB (via other duals).

Think 700 plus two times what Cleary gets will be a good score. So that could be anywhere from 800 to 900+

I would be ecstatic if I reached 850.
I can't see par being any higher than that.

    Captain: 70 x 2 =140
    Strange: 21
    Piakura: 0
    Overly optimistic remaining player average: 14 x 50 = 700

    Estimated par = ~861

Anyone else think warriors could be top 2 or even win the minor prem this year?

Makes me think RTS may be a better option than Hammer.

    Hammer also origin.

I know they said Sitilis scans were precautionary but could those fuckers update us on the outcome today pls

if i punch may and sitilis scores into the price predictor on footystats, i end up with about 110k difference next week. the entirety of the scores this week obviously impact price changes, but does someone smarter than me know if there is likely to be a huge variance on that 110k ? like could it be 105k to 115k ? or is it likely a wider range? just trying to make sure i have the cash, if needed.

I like the look of Metcalf but I'm a pretty shit judge when it comes to Fantasy. I think he has the ability to kill it this year and assume more responsibility than last season. He could have some big scores with line breaks and tries but I'm accepting there will be a few 25s in the mix.

We're all gonna tear our teams up now, get money in the bank and May will score 38 next week, won't he?

We'll I've got 376 with 7 left to play so if that's par I'm not reaching that.

I had Metcalf pencilled in for a long time and reckon he's in for a big year but I'd say the price rises will only.come if he has a few unreal attacking games, warriors are hot from all over the park he won't call shots just add to the punch. where flanno will probably kick and tackle his way to his BE hopefully in a more consistent manner

Just hold. Who knows how Salmon will go. Kini will be rocks and diamonds. A lot to play out but with their price points it's not going to impact you too much I guess. At least for this round.
