    1 trade. Cotter to Duncan, which in hindsight was a terrible move. I suspected I'd regret not owning Cotter and ouch....but I suppose SOO will soothe things a little. I think Duncan will pay off eventually and the bank is $180k which is nice.

    Okay, may as well jot a few thoughts as I browse today's scores. I was watching scores tick over at the start of the Tigers match and searched Seyfarth's name on the forum when he stopped scoring and when I found out he'd been hooked I decided to go for a surf at my local reef break and dig my head into the reef. I jest, it was always on the cards but when I was out there I did almost allow Seyfarth to hinder my enjoyment, but thankfully it was too enjoyable to have any impact. Empty local breaks. Is there anything better? I think not.

    Anyway, got through all the games with Kayo catch-up at 1.5x speed and just looking through some scores;

    Hosking - I started last year with Trindall and kept that in my mind this year when I picked Tuaupiki, Smithies, Kini and even Wong and Sitili. Some of these (possible) short term prospects can be very well worth the gamble, but when Hosking appeared on that second team list it was just one too many for me to take that punt. Didn't think he'd be getting 90's, of course, but him scoring well was never in doubt. Easy to say now, but definitely should have taken this punt too. Ricky may be a madman, but can't see how he brings Whitehead back in for Hosking. Too late for me to jump on now, though, sadly.

    Fainu - could be a straight swap for Seyfarth next week? If I can afford it, based on what Seyfarth will lose and Fainu will make. Sure the rotation was a mess but dude looks likely.

    Fogarty - he's an interesting one. Disappointed I didn't keep him in my squad (had him all pre-season, but at 11th hour decided I needed Ponga) but on the other hand his scores aren't crucifying non-owners. Would definitely like them on my scorecard, though.

    Strange - this made me happy.

    Galvin - as did this.

    Tapine/Bateman - could easily turn it around as soon as next week, but hopefully some cheeky little price drops.

    Levi - I guess for now he's a hold as long as he's scoring tries, but obviously the moment he stops scoring tries his (slow) upward price rises are ended and he's going to need to go asap. And I need another hooker option for Grant's bye, is also an obvious thing.

    Seyfarth - I've mentioned him enough today, but as I look past today's blinding sadness, I wonder if there's any way he gets a second chance next week and even if he does, if I'd stick around or just pivot to one of the better options, of which I believe there will be several. Absolutely despise the idea of reversing a trade in one week, but some players kind of leave you no other choice, and I think this may be one of them.

    This'll be long, so I might end this bombardment of thoughts before I open up the next match.

    I was actually surprised when I saw Kris' score after the HIA. Thought he might be in for some price drops, but can't be too bummed by the 29, all things considered.

    Galvin looked great. Not phased at all by playing against men and was always looking for work. Straight from schoolboys. Wow. Sezer looked crap when he came on for Sullivan, who was serious crap, and Seyfarth isn't a first grader yet. Watch out for young Fainu coming into HB. I said before the season started that Fainu and Garvin would end up the Tigers halves and I reckon that happens sooner than I thought. Youngest halves combo in years.

    And my ramblings continue;

    Elliot - lol @ my cash league H2H guy had Elliot and Reece Walsh this week. Should still be alright, but he was on a couple of them. As for Elliot, not in my price range (or on my radar) but could make some decent coin now along with some pretty solid scoring.

    Cotter - lol again. Never had him in the pre-season as I just thought he'd be a 40-ish plodder and last week I was thinking how correct I was. Haha, what a tosser. I actually traded him out in SC before I reversed it and went trade-less. Still not sure about him in the long run, but doesn't really matter for owners as this should keep him going for a while.

    Nanai - I was looking at him last week thinking he was actually possibly a randomly good option, just over-shadowed by almost a dozen other EDG options at lower prices. I guess it'd be easy to argue that tries are bumping his scores, but dude likes scoring tries.

    Ponga - really frustrating ownership. As often happens after a season like his last season, he's getting swarmed every time he's near the ball. Some nice glimpses, but needs to play a team that is a bit shitter. On the positive side, 40's are better than 20's.

    Drinkwater - also being kept quite quiet in first couple of rounds, but still putting up fair enough scores in not-ideal matches for him.

    Finefeuiaki - actually, if Luki is out for a while and this unit takes his spot, he'd be an immediate switch for Seyfarth, no questions asked. I assume many Fantasy eyes will be all over this situation.

    KPP - really surprising score for me, especially considering the 82mins. Must admit I thought he'd be begging to be picked up next week if Lucas is still out. Still think he could be great, but a wait and see, it appears.

    Lot of other guys in this match coming back down to earth after big scores last week. Almost did some crazy trades to Laybutt in SC and DT, but thankfully reversed them all. Luki a bummer for owners. As noted above, will be interesting to see what the outcome of this one is.

    Jeez, some interesting scoring in that last match.

    Pappy's hard palm to the face of doubters.

    RTS looking good for those that took the punt.

    Katoa scoring well for a HIA affected game. Very likely to be a proper keeper option.

    Tohu - wonder if many jumped on this week. That'd be disappointing.

    Metcalf - I missed what happened with SJ and the kicking, but that's an interesting twist for Metcalf enthusiasts.

    Chan - I don't know if I was just watching my other three guys more, but I didn't even notice this dude all match. Solid score, though. I was hoping and assuming he'd be around this range into early 40's (with great hope) this week, so this is solid. And he was in my 17 over bigger plodders.

    Tuaupiki - can't lie I'm a little bummed with the score (31). On one hand it's a good score for a FB against the Storm, I feel, but I also thought he was probably going a bit better. Plus, he should have scored that try himself, lol. Still very happy with him, just thought this was going to be a slightly bigger score. May the Lord of Updates shine brightly on him.

    SJ - watching at x1.5 speed and skipping stoppages in play, I obviously missed something here. What happened? I wonder how or if that price drops much?

    Walker & Welch - big drops from last week.

    Lot of players to keep on the watch list after only a couple of matches, namely the likes of Nikora and the like. Seems like every match throws up a random really low score or two from borderline or certified guns. Going to be an interesting season, one might think.

    Oh shit, didn't notice that at all. When I'm so far behind on the games I'm pretty quick to hit that skip-ahead 15sec button on Kayo, and I do seem to miss stuff like that.

    13/623 C for me not sure how to feel I was so happy Kris was on 25 at half time and then the HIA early second half I was so pissed off then the Luki thing. I’m just currently staring at my team and nodding to myself yes I need Moses round 4 he’s going massive.

    Ah well, on the upside, I'm a fuckwit who doesn't understand looping and accidentally ended up with Chan's 36 instead of Levi's 26.

    Ricky said Smithies will be 13 going forward, Horsburgh can play lock or front row as bigger frame

    Probably going to do Luki and Hutchison to someone and Galvin
