Is it Liddle to Lussick and no back up hooker worth Haas to Hynes? I've ran 1 hooker most of season once when Robson went great guns from cheap but was no byes every week then but Eels favourable. My MIDS would be toilet but could be fixed next few weeks and I don't think many will have great mids this week

If you don't pick him up tomorrow - you will miss out on the price rises he has only got 4-6 weeks...
That being said - he may displace Hass from the side permanently if he plays well enough Laugh

Looks like your shout this weekend then mate.

Gun shopping next week and flipping spuds like Levi/Hutch to better playable options. Looking at Moses, potentially Carrigan - see how he goes without Haas, maybe a Cotter, or Curran if he's still on the up and gets minutes without an injury to help him

I believe it was a cork in the end. They spoke about it on NRL physio podcast. Basically said nothing to worry about and moved on.

One option I have is Luki + Haas to Lussick + Galvin leaving $644k in the bank.

    Feels outrageous..

Had a pretty slow start to the season & now team is not in a great place this week with Haas, Luki, Wong & Seyfarth all in need of a trade out, plus a few other borderline ones.
Initially wanted Finefeuiaki & Galvin in this week as cash makers but now think I need to prioritise some decent scorers this week after a slow start.
Thinking of probably going Luki > Lussick & then Haas to another gun, not sure exactly who atm but leaning towards either :

Yeo - guaranteed consistent gun scorer week in week out but probably towards peak end of his price.
Carrigan - will be alpha in the pack with no haas and should see consistently high minutes most weeks, if not 80 some weeks.
Hynes - Leaning most towards this one as a gun half where I’m currently lacking strength (hutch would have been 2nd starting half this week alongside Cleary), and a potential captaincy option this week playing the tigers.

This would then leave me another week to look at Fine & Galvin (hopefully they don’t carve up this weekend so prices don’t fly up too much) and potentially get them next week as cash makers if no other issues crop up.

Any thoughts on the above? Any other guns people think I should be targeting instead?

    Team after trades would be
    Cheese
    Tupouniua May Cotter
    Piakura Chan
    Cleary Hutch
    Kiraz Burbo
    Teddy Papy Rapana
Lussick, Haas trade in, Salmon, Wong (looper)
    Levi Seyfarth Strange Hughes

Same as me accept Wong instead of Luki.

Really tempting to get a gun for Haas but feel like May and Lussick need to be got this week. Will use the bank next week to get rid one of the chumps we all have to someone who can score.

People are talking about picking up Hynes right now, but I’d have pencilled in Round 6 after his first bye as a better plan.

Considering my current placement, I’ve not much choice other than go gun for gun, alongside getting Galvin. Still left with $210k for future investments.

That's one reason why I'm on my Olakau'atu POD pick.

I'm also thinking of not buying Lussick and going Galvin instead, holding 386k cash for trades later (got a couple guns on the watchlist soon)

    Hello my fellow fantasizers!

Thought I was done and dusted with NRL Fantasy - managed to avoid making a team for a couple of seasons and freed up my brain to rent some more space to... FPL... 🤦

Anyway, at some weak-minded late hour I cracked open a team in pre-season and here I am - trawling the sites for news, back lurking here with the best, and getting over-excited about transferring Cobbo in for Wong this week.

It's been comforting to see almost all of the familiar names still here! Even the original Rabbit is back! I miss Welshy though - what happened to him?

I'm mostly playing my own game this year - I don't think I'm in any leagues yet. Team name is Rongotigers. (I lost my original team name 'Rongotai Tigers' because in a stronger pre-season moment I deleted my account and decided I didn't need to devote a big chunk of my time to this all over again. Lasted about 2 days...)

Anyway, I decided it would be fun to go big at the back. Figured if I set the backline up as mostly set and mostly forget, I can get more semi-keepers in early (with backline keepers generally being cheaper than forward keepers). And then spend more of the season messing around with making money for the forwards. Obviously never a winning strategy, but it's fun having a backline of 'stars' to root for when watching the games.

So now I've got Cobbo sitting optimistically next to RTS. Teddy, Turbo and Papps at the back (Really missing Walsh but I currently have a policy of no double ups in the backs - Cobbo seemed the next best thing.) Cleary and Moses in the halves. (Still missing Nicho). Grant at hooker at Api on the bench.

That of course means the rest of my team is made up of cheapies, featuring the Glory of Seyfarth in my starting mids. No Hass dilemma for me! No room for May either...

Anyway, figured I should break my lurk and pay my respects. I won't be a very active poster (3 little critters running around), but I want to say thank you all for being here. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, hopes, dreams, brags, fails and humour. It's medicine for the soul, and makes me feel slightly less ridiculous for still being obsessively attached to this fun little game.

All the best for Round 3!
