Things like Wong out, Ilias dropped.... fantasy related for us or not, I genuinely can't understand a coach's cortex, one day this was their choice yet two weeks later its a NO.

Well that makes me feel a touch better about starting with Grant....
Rough for anyone copping Wong/Luki/Haas/Cook or similar though. It can be a cruel game.

FMD may as well throw him in the centres, if this is true JD has some serious serious issues and maybe Sutto needs to take over !!!!
Surgess should never have been allowed to walk out.

Locked in Luki to May as trade #1 which feels like a no-brainer. Leaves me 5k short of doing Wong to Lussick though which is unfortunate. So if I trade Wong this week, Mann and Finefeuiaki are the only two I'm interested in under 509k, with reservations about both.
Considering keeping Wong to loop this week and turn into Campbell next week to cover Pap, and instead doing McInness to Cotter—don't want to miss the boat there. Danger there is next week I'll have Pap, Grant, Chan, Wong as red dots, and if anyone else gets injured/suspended I'm struggling to field 17.
Could also skip May and do Luki + Wong = Curran + Lussick but I'm really not sure about skipping May....
Basically:
a) Wong -> Finefeuiaki
b) McInnes -> Cotter (trade Wong next week)
c) Luki + Wong -> Curran + Lussick (skip May)
Head says A is the straight bat play, gut says B, and the risk-taker in me says C.
Team for context:

The last two years my squad had gained $630k in value by this point.
This year it's made half that $319k
Last year my squad added a further $500k each week for the next 3 weeks - I can't see a road for that happening right now (let alone catching up the $300k I''m behind).
It's a different year, so why does that matter?
Last year my squad value was about $13.7 mil by the time the byes rolled round, it was enough to make some moves but certainly not enough to make all the moves I wanted.
With the way most players seem to be quite capped with earnings ceilings, or they're slow burns (or both), I can forsee getting to the byes with maybe $13mil cap.
The challenge as I see it (and am sure there's many teams in similar circumstance) is with a 15k rank you need to balance the desperate need for points vs the need to kickstart more cash earnings.
I'd quite like to get Patty Carrigan this week (probably good for points) but creates a position of likely minimal cash gain, or drop back to a Curran - hope for 60mins (pretty possible) but more variant scoring - maybe he gets 50 points, maybe it's 40, or drop back to Galvin - should gain $40k+ could be another 40 points (his 43 were reasonably sustainable stats but with probably overs in MG and maybe unders with MT?)
Which is worse, falling behind in points or cash gains? - the conservative answer seems to be to land in the middle, risk a bit of minutes/role security with Curran and hope you get both
Great post mate. Feeling the same currently with the Haas downgrade. Initially wanted Galvin but Haas news means a change of tact. Was wanting hoppy or someone consistent but have gone down to Lussick to join the masses and also cash gains as the cash banks need some attention otherwise come later on it'll hurt.

I started this week with three Roosters forwards and wanted to get rid of two Roosters forwards and now have four Roosters forwards.

Forum Members - been out of it for ages! Is Wong a hold? Thinking it’s a no brainer Wong and Haas to Hopgood/May and finefuiaki?
Also floated keeping Wong (every chance he still plays or is back in next week) and going Shoes and Haas to Hopgood/May and Fine?

Wong is a yeet unless you have bigger problems. I'm flicking Haas and Luki instead due to long term injuries
But Wong will go next week unless he's back in the team

And with all those interchanges, makes it all the more likely that Terrell gets on and stays on

Has Robbo addressed why Wong has been dropped at all?

Well I’ve had a pretty shit start (1456, rank ~50k), but the fact that I only have two fires to put out this week instead of 4 or 5 like some I’ve seen has me quietly confident of making up ranks soon.

Don't see any reason to sell Shoes over Wong - would be a luxury given most are dealing with Luki, Haas, Cook et al. Only reason I'm toying with keeping Wong is to loop this week givem I've other fires and sell next week for Campbell to cover Pap. But if you have no bigger fires he's a sell I'd say. May/Fine will be popular trade-ins so no issues there, same as me most likely.
