The experienced backrower’s withdrawal will prompt the return of Raiders front-rower Corey Horsburgh.

It will be Horsburgh’s first NRL game of the season due to a four-game suspension dating back to last year.

Horsburgh is expected to be added from the reserves to the Raiders bench with Zac Hosking promoted into the starting side to cover the loss of Whitehead on the edge. (Telegraph)

    Sad news for Whitehead...

I had this hope that Hosking would continue to find a way to stay in the team, much like Carty last season. The King is alive!

Hosking might even get the armband next week

i'm part of the 2% (assuming everyone wants at least 1 of maths or fun)

    - were you concerned that you got too many soft cock votes last year?

Anyway, I think spending $600k imaginary dollars is probably preferable to spending $800k in real life on a mediocre winger

Zac Hosking could cost $250k and play for an NRL team whose only other edge players were Josh Schuster and Jack Gosiewski, and I'd probably still find a way to avoid ever picking him in my team

Haven’t seen any chat on Hazelton.

Starting in a depleted pack and looks to have at least 4 weeks of job security with injuries. Generally a 1 ppm+ player I don’t think it’s unreasonable that he averages 50 over this period.

Me too, people going nuts over a CTR averaging 39 this season in base, who has had no structured attacking opportunities this season, 0 tries, in the best team in the comp that is going to thrash some teams.

Taylan is going to do a Kiraz sometime soon.

David Nofoaluma is a better trigger, or any of our plethora of mediocre overpriced centres over the years - I expected more from a student of the game

I like the pick, would just need to view him as a short term cash cow. The bye next week doesn't help for that though.

Bye next week would make him less appealing than many.

Plus priced at about 32, he has only beaten that score only once in his career without a try.

How much do you want to pay for a guy who might only get 3 weeks before being a trade out?

I know his parents can’t spell Jayden properly

Ironically at Dragons there was a Jaiyden, Jaydn and Jayden. No wonder they’re a club in crisis
