That's one question. The other is what awful run of luck did his team have to still have VFifita?

Hmm, thats actually a problem for me too. Raiders have three byes within those 9 rounds.. at least i only have smithies strange and chevy.. smithies was on the chopping block soon anyway

I actually still have Burbo so if he played id have a ctr that might score 25 ish haha

Raiders look like a team that might struggle for a while, if strange stays in that 6 role he might have just about peaked

Why are people discussing Smithies as being 'on the chopping block'?
Returning troops, changed role? What have I missed?

Avg 44. Priced 44. Last two scores in the 30s. Raiders in the shit.

He had those two full games a few weeks ago but both games had major injuries for raiders.

Man Cheese is so tilting. Hooker sucks so bad, Cheeses’ scores and minutes suck so bad but something is telling me to hold him to Round 13 due to HOK and MID sucking so bad

    My thoughts on Atkinson...
    My expectancy regarding Trindall:
At least 4 weeks of rehab, followed by a few games in the ressies to get back some match fitness. So that would be 6 weeks at a minimum, but it could extend beyond that

I'm taking the view of "would I buy Strange for 446?"

Young player, useful DPP, poor team, some decent attacking stats. Like Mam but much worse

I wouldn't buy Strange, an not going to play him, so am pretty happy to sell him for the likes of Grey/Atkinson/Armstrong for cash and coin generation

Fair call lads, I guess I have other fires to deal with in my team, I can see why you would take the money

I think I might sell either Strange or Kris to Armstrong, not sure which one. Was expecting Chevy would be the one to go before their bye but he will hopefully still be making cash.

Would hate to trade Strange and then he does pick up some kicking duties this week but no reason to expect that I guess.

Weird that out of all the years I’ve been terrible at this game this is the one that breaks me, even the the year I self-sabotaged myself over Cleary trying to prove some stupid point I was still trying and making moves, a few times today I’ve opened the app and my team looks wrong, so I try out some trades and they all feel wrong, so I rollback my team and close out, I’ve got guys that need to go but I wouldn’t be suprised if I start Round 10 with the same team, I can’t bring myself to actually settle on anything cuz I just plain don’t trust that anything I do will actually fix this dumpster fire

I hear what Ur saying and that you go through the process literally and it doesn't feel worth doing.. but I'd just force yourself to make the most practical or logical trades this week. Ideally come this time next week even if just a smallish improvement or a little win or two it could change your outlook going into week 11.

100% understand these POVs when you dudes obviously have quality CTR coverage, but the problem that gronks like me face is that if I get rid of Strange, I need to bring in a CTR as he's one of two in my team, following Chester's sad ending.

One could slap my face with a trout and say "then get Garrick, fool." But I'm not sure I'm quite there. Was banking on him losing quite a lot more value, whereas now he's basically priced at what he'll likely average and the interest is gone, for me personally.

If there is anything at all to the rumours about Wighton, I'll be all about that next week if he plays in the halves this week, and is named again there next week.

But for now, I have Strange and no CTR back up and no CTR I want to trade in (bar Aitken but the price + JS doesn't make sense) so I feel kind of stuck with him for now. But like Chewie, I'm happy to give him another chance and think he can do solid work again.

They're both trade outs for round 13, i'd rather have Cleary for a similar price leading up to origin and a hold for the year, SJ's got a tougher draw as well + he's playing with an injury

Haha, must admit I'd not considered Meaney. Is that who you have, cob? Looks like Garrick, but with a higher BE. Not really the price range I'm looking at for a CTR unless his name starts with a Euan and ends with an Aitken. Wink

I do have interest in Alamoti, though, as well as Wighton, if concrete news comes out about any type of Turuva situation.

And yes, Iro is my #2 CTR at the moment.

EDIT - well, Iro is my #1 CTR, clearly, but my second CTR, I should have said.

I'd understand it if SJ was out with his injury, but he could very likely score as well as, or better than Cleary leading up to R13. Cleary's price could drop too, closer to SJ's.

Up to you, but right now, seems sideways without any real urgency that it needs to happen now?
