Hopefully it is just a couple of weeks for Sorenson rather than a couple of months. Such a fucked trade instead of grabbing Bateman, Plath or Jolliffe last week.

Got a few putting their hands up this week. Gutho, Chester, May and Strange all candidates. If DCE's out, holding Strange and giving Garrick another week might be okay. Could be a bloodbath if DCE's playing though.

Probably grab Plath and Armstrong for May and Guth. Then a few options for the 3rd. Zorro to Cleary, Strange to Garrick, Chester to Garrick/Bateman/Jolliffe/AFB. Atkinson as a cashout next week perhaps.

Chester a month out now isn't he ? Do it lad

I might just be dumb, but other than that article heading it doesn’t actually say that he was fired? It just says they reconvened at 5pm and he left not knowing if he’d be back the next day.

Jeez you gotta feel for the dude if that’s how it went down. Sounds like a terribly run organisation.

Anyway, whatever I think of some of his decisions, hope for Bunnies fan’s sake they miraculously start winning now he’s gone.

Might reverse my Cook trade out in the auto-fill team too…

I just assumed they started the article (by the headline) at the end of the story. Maybe not?

Maybe the article writers are as poorly run as the Bunnies, or worse, if they’ve misrepresented what actually did or didn’t happen.

When you clicked the link, the heading has been updated to: “Souths part ways with Demetriou after board meetings seal coach’s fate”

I blame them if it’s wrong hahaha

Maybe they've done you dirty in the edit but it's pretty clear.

"Demetriou was told of the club’s decision to part ways effective immediately following two board meetings"

I think Ricky is probably just trying to protect these younger players from the shellacking they are going to get over the next few rounds.
The halves / play-makers are the issue, the Raiders are running inexperienced / reserve grade level boys in the NRL.
    He doesn't have other options.

Dropping Schiller & Chevy has the appearance of doing something, but his options are pretty thin right now.

It's a little like the Knights a few years ago, we lost all of our experienced players and the coach was forced to play young developing players week in week out.
3 Wooden spoons later, some of them developed into hardened first grades players.

A sensible version of myself would load up on Plath and Garrick to sort out my lack of MID and CTR options next week. But there is no sensible version of myself around to make these moves.

Tom Eisenhuth named at lock again. Probably too much risk there and will need to average 50+ to make good money

Would you bring in either Hynes or Cleary this close to Origin? Seems like such a silly question but it begs the question. I'm guessing Hynes is maybe the best way to go, as it's possible he may not get a run... which seems ridiculous even saying, but hey.

Feel like I could load up a couple of sub guns in other positions, but it'd leave the huge gap I experienced last week in not having Hynes (or Cleary, although that didn't have too much of an impact last week in comparison to Hynes).

I thought someone was saying Armstrong was only holding the position until some other ressies fullback was back from injury? Is that not the case and now it's Armstrong's spot to lose?

It looked to me like DCE used his hip to flip Lane over. Hard to say for sure, but I think the two of them were equally guilty of causing the tackle to become dangerous

Any thoughts on May + Finefeuiaki to Garrick + Brailey?

Or, better off holding that second trade? Just worried with 22 left. Finefeuiaki probably fine to hold another week, vs the lost cost opportunity of Brailey.
