Did you know Matai was told to retire at age 24? He suffers from a chronic neck nerve condition which causes immense uncontrollable pain with certain types of contact in and around that area. It has ended many pro sportsman's careers. Yet Matai refused to let it beat him. Most blokes would have retired years ago, so I think he actually deserves a hell of a lot of credit for persisting and pushing through the pain barrier to forge a great career.

I dont agree with the comment with halves its about how the team is going. EG Hayne when he was playing either FB or the halves, he was one of the games best players in real life, and also Fantasy.

I kind of do. First, Hayne is a fullback and is a freak. SJ has some responsibility in getting his team around the park and setting up others, so won't run at first option like a fullback does. If the warriors are getting belted he will struggle.
Its kind of the same with Moses Mybe and Mitchell Moses, when there teams are going well and scoring tries and the other team is on the back foot they scored well, when they have lost their scoring dried up.

I just noticed something looks at the BE's, most notably with Blaw

It says if he gets his 2016 average, he goes up 18060, but if he gets his 3 game average he goes up 18058.

Both averages are the same, 40.7

Nothing major of course, but is it a glitch, or is it because of something else? Magic number?

    Just rounding.

His average is 40.6666666667, so one of the calcs will be using that number, and the other will use 4.7 exactly. EVen though they both display the same one will be more accurate under the covers.
(Without checking the 3 game average will be the accurate one, and the 2016 average will be rounded)

Apparently one of the Broncos players might be a rat if this article is anything to go by...

Good for him if the only issue is pain but if it could cause more damage and he was told to stop by a Dr and didn't I'd say he's an idiot.

Fair enough, but imagine doing your job for years then all of a sudden somebody says "You cant do that anymore, go find another job".

I can see both sides of the coin.

He was only 24 at the time if it's correct not exactly too old for a change of career. If that somebody was a Dr and I had nerve damage I'd be looking for a new job the next day.

Anyone considering bringing stockwell in? He is sitting at 300k exact, should be good for round 12, and looked strong last week. A bit of a risk guessing his minutes, but if he can pull similar numbers to mataora then he will provide better value sitting 53k cheaper. forgot to say with Tsims playing backrow for presumably the time that rochow is out (10 weeks estimate), his starting spot may be safe for a while.

It just sucks because nathan brown looks far more promising but he wont be playing the first bye round which is a big issue for me.

Not only that but his reasons for continuing. Gotta respect the bloke. Selfless.

Nah - this player went to the media. Boyd would have just told Wayne when he tucked him into bed that night.

There are no cashcow replacements I can get for nikorima, might have to get someone that might get play time during the byes. Any ideas?

He's a pretty good PPM player, I would of picked him if he had started the year but for now I'll wait on him and see how he goes. He's kind of at an awkward sort of price range where he's not a cash cow but not a gun either.
I do love POD's though so if an opportunity arises and he's doing okay then I'll get him.

May be reading way too much into it but Milf posted a pic of the team out for lunch which was only missing Thaiday & J.Wallace from the 17... I doubt it was Sammy, but wasn't Hannant deep-sixed for getting in Wallace's ear a couple years back? might've planted a few seeds.

As long as it's not Milf or Roberts, I welcome some drama in the Broncos camp. Roberts is new and does like to talk.. just saying. I guess Gillett can be ruled out, since the info was leaked about him.

For the players to set a tarp, it's obviously happened more than once, so maybe someone off contract this year and discussing player movements with their manager.
