Slightly OT, for my profile and my current Fantasy rank (And everyone else that puts it in there profile) how should it be worded?

My rank has been rising lately (For arguments sake lets say I went from 6000 - 5900 end of last round) , so I've put +100 as if to say "I gained 100 ranks last round". However would people interpret that as I've lost 100 ranks instead? If I'm gaining ranks, shouldn't it be "-100", can't work out which is the better way
