    Geez Preston's a hell of a footballer. Could be one of the all time great back rowers if he stays healthy.

    How does one go with full sleeve tattoos now? Have they softened their stance or still frowned upon?

    In a public bathhouse it's iffy, but everywhere else it's fine. Long sleeve shirts a good idea. But they are pretty used to inked foreigners these days. Just be circumspect and say ' Soo mi ma sen' when anyone goes blank-face at you

    I down voted this by accident, soo mi ma sen seems appropriate here too.

    This is exactly how I expected having Brailey on the bench with Mahoney starting to go.

    easytiger wrote:How many players will you play across the bye period?

    Last year for the Lord of the Byes comp (out of 63 entrants);

    3 Teams managed to play a full team across every major and minor byes = 90 played
    A further 10 teams only played 1 short across the 6 bye rounds.

    Booze comfortably scored the most points across the 6 bye rounds, averaging 55.9 per player, while only playing 1 short in Round 19.

    56% of teams played a minimum of 85 out of a possible maximum of 90 players
    89% of teams had a player average over 50 points per playing player (pretty sure that will be lower this year!)

    TLDR: You probably want to only play short by 3 or less players across the byes if you can - but quality is always important.

    e.g. I'm playing 13 this week, but 3 of which are Shoes, Mikaele & Kris, so that's probably equivalent to playing 12 or less...

    I've managed to 'plan' for 13 in each of the 'big bye' rounds, as well as a full compliment of 17 for 15, 17, 18.
    But, and it's a big but, at this stage I'll only be able to run 14 (at best) for Rd.14.
    So, I'll be up the creek next week.
