I flipped a coin on him and Robson last week when I was short, figured Robson was less likely to work himself to a standstill so should back up - and was more likely to be dropped and come back to my squad. So reluctantly sold Cotter last week.

Can someone explain how that wasn't a shoulder charge? No wrapping and arm cooked back (though I think they removed the second part from the definition)   Seems like the bunker thought it was overturning a high tackle penalty, rather than a shoulder charge.

They changed how they rule them a while back, as long as there is separation of the arm from the body, they rule you are trying to make a tackle and not a shoulder charge.
