With Best back I’m hopeful he gets spot over Latrell for fantasy purposesLiverpool_Bulldog wrote:I only have 1 WFB for 19 and it’s Latrell who might not even be there if he gets an Origin phone call.
I am considering Isaako, am i unwell?

Will have the likes of Hands, Weekes and Cole hitting their peak soon and at least one will have to become close to base price
Gosiewski who is good for 15-20 off the bench every week?
Royce Hunt? Chan Kum Tong? Sandon Smith with questionable job security but 1-2 injuries away from 40s? BMM with handy DPP but rubbish scores?
My main concern is finding the right players to cash-out to. Just hoping some cheapies pop up at the right time.

Don't get me wrong man, I'd love to have Aitken, I just can't justify it. I'm too far behind all those who got on early, so I have to settle for some hopium in that he regresses a bit. I'll have to save some trades and make a move later with returning guns and hope they outperform the current ones.
hopium at it's finest.
I gave him no thought when his price went up early on. As we mentioned yesterday even when hitting 700K there was no way I was bringing him in, but now at 787K I still think he could be worth bringing in. Reasons;
DPP: Insanely handy and is the best in the centre position and probably third best in the edge position, only behind Angus and Fifita. With Origin, he could trump Angus with the scoring.
Position: Was always the question mark but the spot is obviously his. Played 80 every week bar one. The only thing I'm not sure on is if he's still the first choice to move to centre if there's a backline injury or if that's Null now? He also has a 52 average playing second row, so you're paying slightly overs, but not much to bitch about IMO, especially with a current BE of 30.
Byes: Only one bye left and plays crucial next 2 big byes along with 17. Also, for me, getting him for next week means I'm not wasting a trade getting a WFB in, it means I'm moving Garrick down which essentially gets a keeper, an extra player and I'm not forced into an extra WFB trade on someone I don't really want. This could be the biggest factor for me with 2 bye rounds to come.
Ownership: We all know, you can bank on a highly owned player regressing, but with the ownership at 60-70%, I'd rather get on and have one less headache.
Eye test: He passes the eye test with flying colours. His defence is on point and he obviously likes playing for Wayne, he's in everything.
I can do Atko to him in a single trade so when I take the price out, I think it makes sense heading into 2 more big bye rounds.

Thinking about letting Aitken through to the keeper and no trades other than possibly cash out Salmon to Sharpe leaves 564k and 9 trades to upgrade likes of Mikaele. I do need Rd 19 WFB or CTR

I'm thinking no trades this week. 8 left. Will look at the Galvin and Koula situation for another week. I'll worry about the bye rounds later after this week's anticipated carnage.

Bellamy said Wishart will go back to Utility role in 2-3 weeks if you believe Bellamy. Is that why asking?

Groin injury they're managing non-surgically, so slow recovery. Well post R20 I'd imagine.
As Loomer said, Paps' return more impact on Wishart - possibly. But possibly not. I think he's still a buy, but not without risk.

@wolfking sums up my tho8ghts on Aitken
You're paying overs to get him now, but he's the best CTR by miles, and with his recent coring its going to be a few weeks at minimum before his price drops.
Annoying we didn't get him $200k ago, but its too late now and every week we ignore just drops us further behind.
I'm also going to be shitty if Latrell doesn't play origin, because that risk was literally the only reason i didn't get him last week

With the way Burton was kicking on the weekend and being 18th man I wonder if they don’t simply play him at centre for origin 2?

Royce Hunt and Sandon Smith best of that lot.multiple.scoregasms wrote:Will probably be about 4 weeks away but who do we like as cash outs for the run home?

Billy Walters 330k with guaranteed job security an option.

I'm thinking about getting Watson for similar price as Aitken. I have loads of centres. Silly idea?

I am so far off the pace that I am going to risk bringing in Aitken and Wishart and cross my fingers and close my eyes and take my foot off the brake and just hang on.

i am starting a narrative that when flegler comes back, car foo see will play hybrid mid/edge role and ai-kent will play 50 mins edge.
its based on nothing and i don't even believe it would happen. but a good old prayer jerk circle could well manifest it into reality
