Why are you worried about F Sharpe - he should still be part of the symphony until R22 right?

I'd play him like this over the bye rounds

some news last week he is now aiming for round 20.

but they have the bye in round 21, so they could easily play it safe.

if Ponga manages to return round 20, that gives sharpe three more games (everything else going to plan).

    Ah got it...

R20 could even be enough for me as I had him last week - surely if he is killing at FB they give him a spot somewhere when Ponga is back... Maybe Ponga reverts to 5/8 again?

    The kid does all right

    True.

I should have said I don't need them this week. But when I inevitably realise I need to use 4 trades in R20 to get Cleary/Hynes/generally fix my team, will be useful to see how much I have to compromise in terms of both trades out and in

Peoples sense of Hopgood? What are owners doing?

Originally it was reported as just an issue that needed to settle, so was fully expecting him to get named for Origin. Based on that I still think there's a decent chance he plays R17.

And if he does then I'm holding a likely top 5 MID and top 3 EDG for the run home.

But NRL physio has also speculated that maybe it's a 3-4 week injury now.

And if that's the case he's missed 15, 16 and will miss 17, maybe 19 (if Qld pick him) and 20. And it's a lot of cash on your bench.

Really torn between holding on for dear life and hoping it's not too serious, or yeeting my best forward and looking foolish if he plays R17.

Based on your thinking, lets indeed hope he'll be a MAJOR part of the symphony, not just a small MINOR part.

I'll still get him next week I think, worth the punt and a round 19 number.

    Thanks looks good now

e.g. Wishart now 15 v 22, which is different MNs in the calcs but close enough for me to be a decent indicator either way.

I guess doing the Atko to FSharp trade next week would give me an augmented $360k warchest for round 20/21 upgrades

I sold him to Koloamatangi when he got ruled out on Friday evening.

My logic was that at best, he'd miss 15 16 19 20, and at worst also 17.

I traded him last week (so I could hold the fantasy stars Waddell and Koula and give me extra numbers last week and this)

Took a punt that injury and/or origin would mean he'd miss a bunch of games, and potentially limited game time on return means i can potentially get him back in cheaper if required.

What’s the worry with Sharpe that Ponga is back in round 19? I think NRL physio said could be back round 20 and unlikely for round 19? Question is does Sharpe then hold a spot and move to wing or left right out?

Yeah it’s that trade off im trying to get my head around - I think he’s definitely a best possible final team player, but going down a tier for someone who should theoretically play 17,18,19,20 makes sense

It’ll just pain me if Hopgood ends up playing 2-3 those as well

    I used 12,750, mtb 13750

FYI, this round will have a low MN. All the origin players out mean the average player price on the field is quite low, therefore low MN. But should bounce back next week

Excluding R13+14, average MN this season is 13764, so mtb should be accurate in general, but is probably a little under true BE this week.

It was 11919 in R13, and I'd expect something similar this week (and in R19). A little bit higher next week (and R20) depending on how many origin players back up and mostly normal service otherwise

I think making the sale last week will end up being the correct call

Not sure I’m set up to get him back later but might need to pull the trigger

Thanks for the reminder about bye week BEs, I think that one can catch a lot of people out
