Thinking I might use 2 of my 4 remaining trades this week
Fa'alogo to Sharpe is all but locked in given Sua's likely to be dropped
Thoughts on the 2nd trade?
TU: S Hughes - Isaako (High upside at a cheap price, but means I have 3 Phins and too many WFBs)
TD: S Hughes - Sam Fainu (I'm quite overloaded on backs but don't really like any cheap forwards other than him)

5 red dots to start with. Then there’s question marks around KPP/Matto. Grant and Cotter have Origin so may not back up. Shoes and Salmon still in the team. Faalogo will need to go if dropped or still on bench. May could go back to his 30 minutes of game time.
It’s all a bit of a mess and Wighton is the only one I would be happy to let go off
Same here mate. I wonder if there's much legs to the idea of Gray keeping FB after last round and Trell going 5/8, pushing Jack back to centre where he is an easy trade. Issue is though you're losing a green dot for 19 so it's fairly short sighted.

Will interesting to see how many will/can trade him in this week
Risky but Haas now misses two of the next 3 and who knows what happens in 20. Could be rested again

Doesn’t look to be any easy answer for this one. Will have to hope TLT is nice and will go from there.Welsh Mafia wrote:

Think I’ve already locked Faalogo to Sharpe if he’s named

i don't want to trade out carrigan, but if Cleary is named this week, it will be hard not to pull the trigger.

Feels all a bit handcuffed this week in terms of trades with not wanting to trade out players on a bye when there's 4 or 5 of them yet green dots are needed to field a team.
At the moment I have 4 on a bye and 17 if Cotter and KPP play. But that's including Shoes, Strange and Talagi. I guess that kind of situation would be pretty common however.

I'm going to wait one more week on Hynes with his 113 BE. A player at a discount is as good as cash cow, and could lose a considerable amount this week.
Cleary also has a fairly high BE, but he will also likely be picked for Origin 3 if he's fit, right? I guess that doesn't matter considering Panthers have a bye anyway.

Is possible, but probably not ideal with the amount of trades we have left. (I own both already)

Tempted to go for broke and spend my last 2 trades on Carrigan to Hynes (If Paddy is rested as indicated) and Fa'alogo to anyone 546k or under if he's benched or dropped this week.
Gives me 16 guys this week, 19 next week, 12 in RD19 and 17 for RD 20.
So much risk tho, but at rank 5k it might be my only option to get close to a 1k finish.

Teams without byes, with draw (because WFBs):
Sharks || dogs, TIT, TIG, bye
Tigers || syd, MEL, sha, rab
Eels || kni, RAB, tit, bye
Dragons || DOL, syd, bris, bye
Knights || EEL, cbr, man, BRI
Broncos || wah, PAN, DRA, knig
Thoughts:
Those are poor teams with some tough draws. Broncs look the best, followed by Sharks/Knights
Not many final 23 keepers in there at all.
Options:
Sharpe - cashy, and if you're going to trade anyway then why not
Cobbo - greatest chance of being final 17
Mulitalo - sub 500 and not a bad final 23 loop option, but R20 bye
Penis - quality with Moses back, but ~600 and Moses not there for a bit. And an R20 bye
Marzhew? Could punt and hope, but he doesn't look good enough without Ponga (and being able to catch)
Gagai/Best expensive at mid 600s
Douehi - only available in the halves, and somewhat of an injury risk, and 626
Mariner - has a two-try 37 this year
Guess I'm going Sharpe. But maybe Cobbo at 562 is greatest like-for-like to Garrick
I probably need to get rid of Atkinson this week unless by some miracle he gets the nod ahead over Trindall.
I'll need a WFB for rd19 to get a full 13 on the park.
I don't like Sharpe's job security, and I don't want to spend 2 trades on him.
Marzhew is probably the best fit for my team bye cover wise, can use him in the EMG most weeks and loop him in for his inevitable boom scores, just hope he goes on a run of form starting this round

Only saw them a couple of months ago on the NOFX farewell tour, but no pics. Use to drink with those boys at the Sandringham in Newtown.
