Rethinking my trades, Safiti/Carter out for Mannering/NPR - good idea?

Henry has named an unchanged side for the Dragons clash but five-eighth Tyrone Roberts (knee) is expected to train on Wednesday after Cameron Cullen debuted in his place against the Sharks.

“Tyrone’s not really in the mix at the moment,” Henry said.

“He hasn’t run yet. He’ll know when he’s right to go.

“Structurally his knee’s OK but it takes time to heal and feel better.

“He’ll show us how he jumps around at training.

So it sounds like Roberts wont be playing this week, and maybe not next week.

Titans play Saturday next week. It could be worth the punt, maybe.

(Do you guys see what I did there? "Punt" because he is a half and he kicks the ball.... Yeah....)

edit i suppose aloiai is the same price and probably further up the pecking order anyway. eh.

Edwards weened back in from injury through NSW Cup. Not 100% sure Aloiai was ahead of Edwards before he got injured.

But yes, looking at that bench, which is pretty much all backrowers (slightly better than all hookers) Edwards would be playing up front. Gut feel is Buchanan comes into the 17 though. Not saying for Edwards, but just think there is a fair chance he plays.

No dramas doing the Mannering trade this week, but going on averages he should be another 10k cheaper next week at least. Safiti could still make that this week as well, so could be a 20k swing against you. In saying that, you get the extra points. By NPR, do you mean you are going to kill offa spot with a complete nuffie, or looking for a potential bye cover rookie?

Carter could lose that extra money though so I think I'll be no better off? What do you reckon?

I need someone for under 175K. Any suggestions?

Mannering to me. Fensom plays the round of death, but can see Mannering outscoring him by 100 or more in total come round 26, all things being equal.

he may just be worth a punt.. returned in rnd 2 but got injured. played in rnd 4, 60 mins off the bench. started prop in rnd 5 and then lock in rnd 6.

Same dilemma....but who do you cash the buggers out to? I have actually been contemplating matai (crazy as it sounds) but even if he scores 25s he only nets me 70k, not worth it.

Anyone got any ideas? preferably a FRF, Ideal move is trade out Carter to a cheapy CC, move JTrbo to 2RF for depth in that position. Means next week when I turf JSaifiti will have forwards.
    Graham, Surgess, BLaw
    Fensom, Mannering, Merrin, JTrbo, Whitehead

    Thoughts on DSaifiti?

3688 24 trades in bank (23 after this week)

I was thinking Asiata. He plays 2 byes. He's cheap @$128k

That's the million dollar question and why I'm waiting a week in the hope that a good option will pop up.  Unlikely and might have to take a big punt on someone who's not that cheap or someone I hope will get some game time soon.

Yeah my only concern is if i dont dump carter this week and he gets 20, loses 10-15k. Mannering with a high tackle count against dogs can easily hit his BE and not drop money. As i will be upgrading jsaifit to mannering, if i turf carter next week after he loses money that has me at about 200k in bank. will be very tight if mannering goes big or something happens to jsaifiti and he goes below BE....

Damnit all, doing my head in lol.

Ahh, sorry. So you need Carter traded out as well to get Mannering? My bad, was looking at the Jaifiti to Mannering in isolation. Fair call. Anyone got Carter's BE? I assume he spells McInnes for 20 this week? Although Clark can play hooker as well.

Considered it, but horrible scoring. Is he really likely to s ore more than 20 during byes? Is a trade worth 40-60pts and a bad ae unless i trade him out again?

I see a lot of people trading out jsaifiti. Are you not considering keeping him as an extra player first bye round when the knights play? I can see its a bit tricky because there are 5 games between now and then./ Maybe im biased because I only have 9 players that round including him
I'm gonna hold as his breakeven appears to be 24 on the renegades page and he may potentially go above that

personally, i think he'll be starting again sooner rather than later. he's not a bad 'hold' at all.

in my case i'm trading him + carter to a keeper.
