Nearly a day behind but I reckon a few of these blokes would be great in 7s
Carrigan - Big enough that he can make metres carrying the ball but also mobile enough he won't get found out in defense. Can do a little bit of ball playing if required. Leadership, energy, effort in spades
Murray - Basically the same as Carrigan with extra speed, rugby background and ability to sit out in the backs if needed
Watson - Can play any position from 1-13. Plenty of speed, deceptively strong and can run a line as well as put someone into space. In this team he will be the secondary playmaker
Cleary - I want the best in the business steering the team around the park. Dominant kicking game, strong ball runner, creative. Add in goal kicking, probably the best field goal kicker in the comp and great defender.
Manu - Probably the best ball runner in the comp. Won't do much to set up his outside men but will be tough to stop with ball in hand. Also an elite defender
Crichton - Probably the best one on one defender in the comp with x-factor in attack and plenty of athleticism.
Turbo - Great work rate, elite attacking game and big enough/willing enough to take hit ups like a front rower when needed.
Backups - Not sure how many are in a 7s squad so I'll be picking 5
Cotter - A Carrigan/Murray hybrid that won't leave you hanging in defense
Tino - On form I think he is the best prop in the comp. Mobile enough that he sometimes fills in on the edge.
Moses - 12 months ago this would have been DCE as basically a Cleary clone but Moses has shown enough the jersey is his.
Holmes - Similar profile to Manu and Crichton on his day but less consistent
Ponga - Way different profile to Turbo but will set the field alight with ball in hand
