Telstra is offering (until 30th April) 3 months free Platinum HD package. No lock-in contract and free standard install - no cancellation fee after 3 months to scrap it. I put it on about a month ago. Seems too good to be true but called to verify the deal and then double checked via email help and saved a copy of the transcript. Currently running the works for nicks. Just gotta remember to ring up in 2 months!
Edit: For Telstra customers.
I literally went and signed straight up after reading this. Cheers mate

Looking at my team & thinking why not get rid of Macca who seems to be a 45-50 point scorer & upgrade to J. Friend. No matter how many needles I insert into my K-Nik voodoo doll he's still stealing 25 minutes off Macca,
Macca out - J. Friend out
My 2nd trade has 2 options. Please advise:
(a) J. Saifiti out - Bateman in or
(b) J, Saifiti out - Kennar in (via Aubs)
Thanks.

Further on my above post how will the return of Pearce affect J. Friend. Will J-Nik go to the bench & steal his minutes or will he just be a utility & J. Friend continue to play 80.

I think if the plan was for Friend to play less minutes, they would of used a rookie to have a 15 minute stint.
The flip side of that is, because of the lack of senior players, he is getting 80 minutes so there is a leader on the field at all times, at least until the "Big 3" come back

Hard to know with him, as Jniko isn't known for his defense so can't see him playing hooker.
I mean you had Ian Henderson on the bench Round 1 as well but didn't effect Friends minutes then.
Only thing with Friend is he is at the top end of players price wise so is a large investment, some of his workload may be taken over with return of Cordner/Hargreaves ( ie a few tackles).
Look at last year when the forward pack was more experienced, he wasn't expected to do everything then. Also with the Roosters losing it also means a lot more tackles generally
It won't be wet like that every week as well which caused the Panthers to attack up the middle = lots of tackles for him.
Though should be a guaranteed 50+ every week regardless and like Smith will be a decent option for captain.
Just a lot of coin, so means there is usually somewhere else you will have to compromise on so as long as the balance is right then worth it I reckon

mate this is my only concern with friend. i was going to get him when liicha got injured but the roosters arent in a 'normal state' right now and anything could change once the troops are back. of course hes been a straight gun since then...

Wasn't Friend fringe-Origin selection last season? Or did I imagine that?

Yeah Smith had injury concerns for one of the games so Friend was there as precaution.StuDogg101 wrote:Wasn't Friend fringe-Origin selection last season? Or did I imagine that?

He was 18th man last year or the year before. Pretty much touted as the most likely successor to Cameron Smith as QLD/AUS hooker.

Going with my head over my heart. Reversed RTS to Holland and picked up Lolohea instead. Can always trade HHunt for Holland in the not-too-distant future depending on how things go.

Ah right that makes sense. This is the first season I didn't start the season with him and just my luck he goes gangbusters haha. If he's not in line for selection then I see no reason not to pick him up to all those who can afford him lol

Is Williame really the only cash out option in the centres? Does anyone have any bully on other people who might get a look in at some point?

I think each round, we need to give out the 'Paul Carter Medal'.
This award is given to the player who scores the most negative points in a round.
Winner of round 7 was Bryce Cartwright with a brilliant -24. Well done Bryce.
