Good news for those of us holding onto Feeney, should help prevent him from becoming a nightmare AE throughout the rest of the season.

HHunt, Gutherson, Safiti or take a gamble on Parcell as 4th reserve?

Could someone explain this to me. The AE is when a player drops out of your 17 last minute and is the lowest scoring player, is that assuming you're stacking another position and wanting their scores instead?
So as an example could you have 17 players with no centres from example and then stack the 2nd row with higher scorers and take their scores instead? And is that why you don't want that ugly AE?

You'll only get 1 Automatic Emergency if a player in your 17 is a non-player that weekend, then they'll just count as 0's if you have a second or more pull out. In theory you could have just 1 CE and purposely stick a red dotter in the other spot and get the lowest score of a stacked forward pack, but then you run the risk of not being able to cover other positions if another of your 16 actually did get hurt mid-weekend.
Edit to further expand:
At the end of the season, I ideally want a solid 17 (with two hookers) and two or three consistent 30-40 scorers that can cover FR/SR and CE/WFB and the rest as red dotters, so in the event someone pulls out late (you can do everything right and then get screwed Monday) only 2-3 quite good scorers can possibly become my AE. No good having 4 players hit 40 and someone like JNik or Feeney getting 15-.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 26
For me its always been one of two things, Either I'm intending on running a bit of a risky lineup at the end of the year where I deliberately leave one area short on players such as centre with the intent on abusing it for another high scorer.Honeysett wrote:

The other is just that it lessens the blow of having those last minute disasters. If my likely AE is mid 20's-30's I can possibly take a gamble one someone like Parcell playing, instead of taking a safe option on a high 30's player. worst case scenario I get my AE and only miss out on 5-10 points. If instead its some dud capable of single digits, I'm far more likely to not take the risk and just play the high 30's guy from the outset.

Bit late to the party on the whole regrets thing but mine would be Woods over Graham. I guess you can say there was no way to predict Woods would score so averagely compared to his efforts in seasons past but what did it for me is Graham has always been a Day 1 pick for me. I was just turned off by his recent injury and concussion history and finishing the game on crutches in a pre-season trial had me steering right clear. I'm still convinced he's going to get injured the week I trade him in

Short answer, yes.
Long answer, who does that $12k buy you? Are they a keeper? Will any of the group you listed be keepers?
