Maubs playing his 200th game. Expect him to score a double. I think that's been the theme lately

Funny how I'm happier that Macca got injured & scored 13 as opposed to him playing another 55 minutes & scoring 40-45.

Trusted my gut and won.
Good for you, I kicked Inglis to the curb so it doesn't surprise me he went well. I thought I was a genius at half time though

Yes. But long term Maubbs will be staying in my team till after byes. I may not play him every week, but Roosters are a decent bye team and they will have a few forwards out with Origin.

Yeah Roosters miss round 12 and 16... Who do you think will play Origin? Pierce, Cordner, Guerra?

With SST still injured, they might start with a back row of Guerra, Cordner Maubbs. Will have to wait and see
JWH has little impact on Aubbs job security

Yep, Napa as well. Or is he one of the banned mob? Either way Maubbs is in the 13 for Rounds 15 and 18 and that is pretty handy. Cordner was also rested last year for a game in between.
However if Tupou plays origin maybe Maubbs ends up in the centres too.

I've got 2 views on the Surgess tackle. If I was on his side I would say Ofa was fair game for just lying on the ground & the ref had let the game flow so the tackle wasn't effected on Ofa. If I was a Bronco then the tackle is a cheap shot by Surgess & I would want to knock his block off.

Haha, yeah. Ferguson is a worry but I don't think he forces the incumbents out unless they are injured.

Just my opinion on the Surgess tackle. He looked like he was genuinely trying to hurt a bloke lying prone on the ground. Regardless of the context of the game or which team you support, I don't think that is in the spirit of anything anywhere anytime.

I reckon that the way he swung the arm was the problem - I have no issues with him going in hard on a surrender tackle, but the haymaker just looked like a cheap shot by a frustrated player who was getting beaten.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 27
Also, I think that there's a big practical difference between a player just diving to ground to avoid being pushed back into the in-goal when bringing it back (which I hate and should be penalised), and a player diving on a loose ball. Forcing the player to get back up off the ground puts them in probably the most dangerous position they could be in (defenders coming in on them while their head is low) and they didn't actually have possession prior to being on the ground.

The thing with Surgess is that I would classify him as a dirty player & it's not the first time he's done this.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 27
It was more of a shoulder charge than a swinging arm. Can you shoulder charge a guy lying on the ground?
