Perhaps there is something Im missing here? In NZ you don't carry rolls of money around, no matter how rich you are. Unless of course it is being used for things not legal.

Its been a while since I was in OZ, and I do recall using cards wasn't as common over there, so perhaps its normal over there to carry $5k bundles of cash around on nights out?

No Worries, is that true what you posted regarding his managers comments etc? or is that taking the piss?

With all the match fixing hoo haa at the moment it just gives off such a bad image having the poster boy of the NRL handing cash to a known criminal etc. It's a bonehead move on hayne's behalf even if there was nothing in it.

I agree though, they dont mention any of the good stuff that players do - going to schools, charity work etc which is disappointing, but that does not sell newspapers.

BIKIES, GOLD COAST, and NRL headlines do though.

This doesnt have anything to do with the hayne thing tho - but its pretty crazy that everyone seems to have forgotten about the cocaine scandal that the titans players were going through a year or so ago

I agree too, NRL players, and sports players of all codes do some fantastic stuff, but that's really just smoke and mirror stuff here and isn't at all relevant IMO.

To me bringing it up is either an attempt at deflection, or people getting a bit defensive about the bad press on league players.

For me its not a code thing (nor a Hayne thing), its sports in general, and more importantly sports that don't deal with this stuff properly. The stripper scandal in NZ Rugby is a fantastic example for another code in another country that BS'd there way through it, to cover it all up, protect their players, and protect their image. Same thing will happen here, the integrity unit won't do shit, Hayne will tell some BS story, and no-one will learn anything. Except for the kids which will see this rubbish and think its cool!

By the way, surely the Para boys getting up to similar stuff is no co-incidence, would I be right?

Going to a bar with a big wod of cash is not really a common thing, yeah. Unless youre at the rippers then you need to have cash I guess. Carrying wods of cash around is a pretty big thing in the states though for the african american guys (or so tv and rap music tell me lol).

The thing is mate, we literally know nothing about it, its so out of context. All we know is that on a snapchat vid or whatever, Hayne hands a bloke some cash then they talk some shit about it. It may not be his money, it could be anything. There are infinite possibilities for what could be happening with it.

In regard to a video circulated that features me in it, I want to state the following:

I categorically deny any previous affiliation with Chris Bloomfield.

I had never previously met Chris Bloomfield, who I understand is a former Titans udner-20s player, before Saturday, although we have mutual friends .

Over the weekend I was out with a group of players and friends for some end of footy season drinks. There were some people there that I knew and some people there I didn't know, including Chris Bloomfield who I met for the first time. As any human would do, I said hello to those I came into contact with and was friendly as normal. I understand Bloomfield filmed a few short Snapchat videos of me rapping to an Eminem song. At the time, I was not aware of this person’s history with the law and alleged bikie affiliations. I also want to make it very clear that a comment in the video which suggested I supplied Chris with a large sum of money is not true. This money was not mine. This was a prank initiated by Bloomfield and was not intended to be taken seriously. It was also not my voice shouting for a cigarette and I was not involved with any of the offensive comments subsequently added to this video.”

To help put this situation into perspective, it’s important to realise that I come into contact with thousands of people during the course of a year. When I meet people in social settings, I try not to judge them by the way they look and it’s impossible for me to ask every person about their criminal records or bikie affiliations. I grew up being taught to always be polite and respectful to all people and I take my responsibility as a role model very seriously. For me, that means trying my best to not offend people and not taking part in any illegal activity. However, I cannot help how people approach or film me. It’s unfortunate this story has been blown out of proportion and if nothing else, it has reminded me of the extraordinary power of social media and how careful I need to be with people I randomly meet.

He's doing a talk about online security for Norton's Security, Oh the irony. My 2 favourite quotes considering this:

Norton Security, on whose behalf Hayne was presenting the talk, said afterwards the images had come from another device that had entered the network.

Well that's not very fuckin secure then is it.

The demo has been shown before at a number of talks elsewhere without Hayne, and Mr Savvides said such an issue had not arisen before.

It's only a coincidence if you believe in conspiracy theories.

watching the footage, he seems more amused by it than embarrassed so it could legit be a stitch up.

Another device on the network? Unless Norton (one of the world's biggest, if not best, security solutions providers) just bought Snap Chat, im calling Bullshit.

If it's a stitch up, there's no upside for Hayne. "remember that time I pretended to show school kids porn, and everyone believed me?".

I'm with you. This is hilarious.

No I mean, if its a stitch up its something like "Remember the time I stitched up Hayne" from the school IT guy or some tech kid.

But yeah as people have been saying - its fucking hilarious.

The bloke literally says, "we can see exactly what jarryd is looking at on his phone, on the screen" so I think that its pretty obvious that it was on haynes phone and when he has opened up a new tab, an old tab that had pornhub on it was there popped up.

Norton is claiming that the biggest internet security company in the world had someone "Hack" their demo of internet safety, and it wasnt from haynes phone. So they themselves are claiming to be incompetent.

Hayne's reaction is strange tho, he is amused, not embarrassed IMO. To me that indicates that it was someone else that did it, not haynes

SO fucking funny. I love it. Seinfeld couldnt have scripted that any better.

I do this shit for a living. I can't guarantee it without knowing Wtf was going on at the site, but I know I'd be able to tell where it came from pretty quickly if it was my setup.

I just cant believe that given the event they were attending /completing, that both hayne and Norton would not sample check b4 unrolling it in the day. Amazing.
