International Eligibility Proposal

Players are chasing the money so all international teams should earn the same amount per game for offical tests. The big 3 are the money spinners for International league and use that money to develop the 2nd teir nations. Semi would still be playing for Fiji if his match payments were the same as the Aussie match payments.

Just need to figure out how to stop players choosing Origin over tests then.

Change it so that you can only play for the state your born in. That sorts it out pretty quick.

I'm guessing since it's an RLIF ruling regarding international eligibility, it actually doesn't impact it all on the ARL's State of origin rules other then it means that there are more people who would be eligible to play for Australia and therefore eligible to play origin. For example if someone has played for Australia and then goes back and plays for a Polynesian country, doesn't that mean they're not eligible to return to Oz within a cycle, and therefore not eligible to play origin?
