Fark! This from Wacko who is usually pretty good with his Tiger mail;
Tigers will have 1 change with Farah dropped to play NSW Cup on Saturday, this will see either Edwards or Chee Kam or JJ Felise to come onto bench, this will see E.Taylor spend time at hooker due game to allow Halatau a rest.
Other late mail suggested Cherrington will replace Farah, which is the more favourable option for us ET owners.
And Filthy I have no trades left either

Three way tie for the slats award?
Where are you ranked?
I was just looking at a "what if scenario" trying to find out how high you could've gotten with a pick-and-stick 17 in round one.
Come up with one that I think would place inside the top 10,000 so far:
Smith (McInness)
Surgess, James
JTurbo, Whitehead, Cartwright
Johnson, Hastings (Taylor, Walker)
Roberts, Gutherson
Munster, Rapana, Barba (Mitchell)
That team (someone might want to check this) would have you scoring 14,370 so far without using a single trade.
No doubt there's an even better 17 available, this was just me playing around with my round 1 team.
Differences
Evans - McInness
Parker - JTurbo
DCE - Johnson
Tedesco - Munster
Ferguson - Rapana
I traded out Cartwright and Roberts very early then Walker when he got injured.

You forgot to take into account injuries. Burgess was injured, Taylor and Munster also.

This is just going on total points. While you may not have had a full 17 each week if you picked this 17, you'd still be ranked inside the top 10,000. Doing some tweaking now to see what else I can come up with as a pick-and-stick team.
Of course, if you swapped a bench player (128k) in for one of your injured players when they were out, you'd obviously have a lot more points on top of that.
I'm trying to see how high up it's possible for someone to be ranked (although unlikely) if they had set their team and never looked at it again

If this is the case, wouldn't that mean 80 minutes for ET?

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 45
Okay if Bodene's ruled out I find myself in a dilemma. I have 4 trades left and Asiata, Joseph Paulo and Copley as back-ups. Is it worth using 2 trades to get rid of Paulo and swap Copley out to get Gutho back in???
I haven't really planned for an 18th man type scenario as I thought 4 trades could cover me but with Bodene pretty much out for just one more week it's not worth trading him out but with only Copley and Paulo as reserve options if he's ruled out it don't look too good.

In theory yes. But he played like shite last time he played hooker. Forward passes out of dummy half, and other errors.

Yeah I think I remember. So then if this is the plan, Taylor really does have rocks in his head.
I don't see why he wouldn't bring Cherrington in. He's all about how Farrah doesn't fit their style and he wants what's best for the team, but Halatau is out next year, you would think he'd be looking to the future, and ET is no specialist hooker.

Ok here's another 17 that nets you 15,114 total points
Smith (McInness)
James, Fifita (Bromwich)
Taumalolo, Cartwright, Whitehead
Johnson, Mbye (Hastings, Walker)
Croker, Gutherson
Munster, Barba, Rapana
This would put you firmly in the top 2,000 with 0 trades used and that's assuming you captained Cam Smith every and your VC's score didn't double when Cam Smith wasn't playing.

I'm sorry, it was largely to show my own regret.
This team would be ranked above mine.
I can't believe I convinced myself out of Ryan James at the start of the season and spent the next 3 months trying to convince others to trade him in. Ha. What a putz.

That would have you ranked inside the top 1,000 and only about 1,000 points total off the leader.
130k players who'd fill your squad include Jaifiti, Walker, Mitchell... I'm sure using only these three additions and subbing them in/out + correct captain choice each week would put you in 1st place. I'm not gonna sit there and work it all out but pretty sure that you'd be so far ahead no one would catch you... without making a single trade.

Nit-picking but JTurbo wasn't available 2RF first round so he'd be a reserve in the FRF and Taumalolo would start 2RF.

I always wondered what an ideal team looked like from round 1, so I could see where I went wrong but I just couldn't be fooked trying to work one out, so thankis for that, I think I wore myself out trying to recover from a horrible start
