I was worried about Leilua going up against the Storm but really given he's an explosive attacking style player you never know what game he'll have a good one against so you just take the highs with the lows.
Against the Knights I was expecting a score like 81 from him so I captained him and got 21. Against the worst defensive team in the comp he didn't do anything but against the best he destroyed them. People like him and Mansour you just play every week since the 70's and 80's will balance out the 20's.

Which one to come in for Tedesco:
    (a) C. Walker or
    (b) SKD or
    (c) Peachey

Currently thinking (a) with his move to the halves due to possible A-Rey season ending injury.
    If A-Rey is ok I'll go (b).

Walker would be the safest bet.

Teddy and Norman are no brainers, they aren't coming back. Then Gallen, I think Brom will come good.

I want to take a punt with Nofo but need money.  Would it be silly to bring in JBrom for Gallen to get the funds for Teddy to Nofo?  He should come good, his scores still aren't horrible.  Or just downgrade someone like Opacic, play Guth and leave Gallen this week then see what happens next week?  I have 4 trades left.

Next year we need to implement a forum wide rule. Nobody is allowed to trade anyone out after they've posted their lowest score for the year.

It's happened so many times this year and every time they've come back to start hitting their averages again.

Trade whitehead out after a 30? his 4 previous scores to that he averaged 55.
Graham has scoffed under 50 twice since round 5.

Some people here seem to expect their players to beat their average every single week, and get disappointed when it doesn't happen.

    Bit rough Mr Cow!

I traded out Whitehead, but it wasn't simply based of his score or 30.

His 4 scores prior to that he averaged 55 sure, but if you looked at his 3 week scores including that 30, he was awfully close to averaging mid 30's on base stats. He scored two tries in rd 21 which meant his 3 rd average was higher, but I was concerned that might be hiding something. He looked to be making less tackles and runs and given we'd recently tightened up our defence a lot I started to think maybe a slight change in the structures (like defending a little wider later in the set or having a better defensive prop inside or something) meant it might be the norm for him for the rest of the season.

It also wasn't just about who I'd be getting rid of, but who I would be gaining. Looking at Thompson for the year, he just seemed to have much more consistent scores with the same upside if not bigger. I reasoned that although he might only average 5 or so more than Whitehead, given there was only 4 weeks left, it was better to have a consistent scorer rather than risk an up and down player entering a trough in those final few weeks.

Didn't work for me this time but it has in the past and I've gone from high 20K in the first few weeks to sitting 598 this week so I'd be mad to go away from it now.

I agree Archer. I sold Whitehead this week to bring in Tedesco. The last few weeks I have been choosing my 17th man from J.McGuire/E.Whitehead and N.Cleary so I probably had too much depth while I was using Gutherson as my 3rd fullback and felt I needed Tedesco in there.
While watching Whitehead closely, it was frustrating watching B.Austin play inside him, overusing him as a decoy to go out the back or SO MANY times stepping off his right foot and going back inside and I too felt that Whitehead's 3 round average was inflated by those 2 tries and while Austin was there, tries won't be happening often.

Maybe Whitehead had enough of it and threatened Austin during the week that if he did it again punches would fly

got excited when wright was predicted to be put at fb with tturbo off for surgery. woulda been a nice surprise for potential cover or improved AE prospects. not to be though...

forced to run gutho for the remaining 3 games. could be a lot worse to be honest, i imagine a fair few players will be doing exactly that..

i wanted to sacrifice james for another injury free week. instead he broke tedescos jaw.... im not gonna say shit this time. fucking fantasy gods..

    Being a wise guy here,
If we follow this rule nobody is allowed to trade after round 1
And some people won't be allowed to trade at round 2 either.

I am just being a smart arse though

How many considering a straight Ted to Dugan swap.

Pretty sure I've only owned Dugan once in all these years.
