When I looked at the official team list I was also surprised Inglis (731)and JT (737) have an earlier test number than Smith (738), meaning they debuted earlier (JT and Smith might have been the same game). Also since Frizell is 810 I was surprised there'd been 80 new debutants since 2003 or whenever Inglis debuted. I'd have thought there might have only been 40-50 given how stable the QLD team was for most of that time.

Couldn't have been the same game, debutant caps when more than 1 in a game are allocated in alphabetical order. Smith comes before Thurston.

You'll be fucking goneski's by kick off mate!

I'm taking the girls so will be a sober one.  Best that way anyway as I have a tendency to emulate Kiwi accents unintentionally when I am talking to them and I also have a track record of picking seats at Warriors games that are nestled right in the middle of what seems like the Mongrel Mob bay.

Nah just the one before I head to my mates later on, nothing too big.

I'm going with all kiwis so that should be interesting

Also, good to see Mal going back on his word and pick Holmes in the Aussie side. Wasnt he supposed to be supporting his great mate Kevvie by not picking those guys who Got banned from origin for 12 months in the Aus team??

Little bit scrappy from both sides there at stages although not surprising considering some haven't played in weeks. Looked like NZ game plan was to decapitate Thurston early on - few head highs in there.

Not sure how Cordner played on after that head gash, bloke is tough as teak. Frizz with a knock to the head at the end there also! Great to see Holmes do his job and Shannon Boyd was solid as well. No doubt the Kiwis will improve on their performance the more games they play together during the 4nations. Cant wait!

How that coathanger from JWH was not a sin bin or a send off is beyond me. Was horrible.

Yeah Cordner is a beast, never rated him that highly but the bloke consistently stands out in rep teams, so is doing something right.

So Im guessing the NSW back row next year barring injury is Cordner, Merrin, Friz. Thats a fucking good back row. All three played really well. Merrin's footwork in particular is great, I love his fat guy step.

Boyd and Scott played really well, Klemmer, Thaiday, Morgan didnt do much, Gillett didnt do much either - that whole right side didnt do heaps. Dugan sucks. Fergo had a couple of good charges.

Holmes had a great game, him and inglis looked really good together out there.

Good to see him picking and choosing when to enforce his selection policy, Holmes shouldnt have been there after his origin ban.

For the next game, I would rather see Fergo or dugan dropped and Holmes go to the right with Mansour on the left.
You cant drop Boyd after that game too, he was great. Is a heaps better player than woods.

Wasn't real happy about that game, kiwis fifth tackle options were rubbish and skd rapana combo doesn't work. Love to see kata and rapana together with kata tacking a run and drawing in defenders then rapana with a quick run out of dummy half. Don't know where you put Mannering in that second row, nightingale for mine makes way when rts is ready to come back with kahu to wing

Pretty worried going into this game TBH and if I could have bet against my country I probably would have had something on the Kiwi's.....thankfully saved my $$.

I know they are missing Foran and some backs but with their forward pack and even watching the haka (have to admit it was one of the better one's I have seen TBH), I thought they would perform heaps better.

Anyway happy with the win (despite us not playing that well ourselves really) particularly for Big Mal to start off his forthcoming dynasty.
