there is those constant rumours of other incidents that have occurred that don't reach the media

i reckon there's a fair chance it will be someone like Moga who gets the gig. unfortunately for us Opacic won't start the season because of injury.

hunt defending in the line beside marshall would be a nightmare.

    we will probably sign copley..

How many games did French play at FB last year? IIRC he moved there during games however can't really recall him starting there. He played FB growing up didn't he? I think he might take a little time finding his feet there however his speed and tackle breaking ability should ensure his scores are somewhat decent from the get go.

For 3 tries in each game those are really poor scores with 33 and 26 respectively. (That isn't taking away any other attacking stats made while scoring tries) So he may be one of those boom or bust FB's that can look decent on the field but unless he is making plays will have mediocre scores.

Gutherson has been working hard on his technique.
I heard Semi is the better shot, but long-term it would be better for Gutho to get the gig

Very surprised there hasn't been any talk (or none that I have seen) of Marion Seve after James Roberts latest incident.

He has been on my radar for the year but got to think Benji will get first crack at the spot. Also why did we end up letting Carlin Anderson go? Last year I know you personally were all over him.

The nrl have also said he can't train with the team. I think he's been banned for 8-10 games so he'll be training by himself over that period.

Just watching him play it looks like he will score like a young Slater, hitting the hole too quick to record any tackle breaks

that was because he wasn't a contracted player, i thought. signing him back up now would mean he can train with them.

Yeah Benji probably first in line but don't discount Bennett moving Glenn to ctr & didn't Su'a play ctr as well in 2016 in a few games although I could be wrong.

Yeah I am filthy he is no longer at the Broncos however I think he left of his own accord and signed with the Cowboys/Blackhawks. He was injured for a fair chunk of last year also. I think his best position is FB so with Boyd and Kahu there it would take a few injuries before he would have got a crack at first grade. The bloke is a freak though and I have no doubt he will get his chance at some point.

Back to the front row talk, does anyone think that Nathan Brown will be the number 1 prop at the Eels and be in for 50ish minutes. Hoping for a bench of hooker, two props and Kenny Edwards.
Think there is some real value there in the same mould as Paul Vaughan.

Value Props I have looked at

    Vaughan
    N Brown
    Addin Fonua Blake
    Jo Ofa
(Think these players stand out as big value)

    Jarrad Wallace
    George Burgess
    Daniel Saifiti
    Matt Prior
(To me, this group will average 40 points if they get 45-50 minutes each game)

    Kaufusi/Asiata/Hoare/Spina
    Lloyd Perret
(not sure I even want to risk going with a rookie type prop).

hard to gauge with Matagi, Vave, and Pritchard all new to the club as well, bit of a lottery. Mannah being given the captaincy also suggests he will start. I'm surprised he still gets picked in the 17 to be honest.

I read somewhere that Mannah & Matagi will be starting props so N. Brown off the bench. Also hasn't Brown got a history of concussions.
