RTS, call me old fashioned but I would pick a tried and tested fantasy gun over potential everyday of the week! Especially at the same price! No problem in having both though could have 3 WFB keepers all starting the year under $300,000 if you pair them with Hayne

Pretty much everyone will have Hayne and RTS I would have thought? I have all three (Holmes too) as you have suggested. The first two seem pretty safe options and Holmes looks like a pretty good bet.

Is that how you are going mate? or do are you going Teddy over holmes?

every single serious team wil have Hayne and 95% will have RTS as well mate too much value for scoring potential there! Latest draft has Slater and JDB in over Tedesco and JWH but I'm reluctant to start the season without Teddy!

    RTS vs Holmes?

    Now BBQ is gone

    Holmes played 4 games at fullback in 2015 (62, 18, 8, 39)

I'm considering leaving out Holmes actually but if he's a super popular player I wouldn't risk leaving him out either if he fires.

Anyway I'd say RTS being given the Captain duties could get him going. I mean the guy did nothing last year, now he's expected to lead them I'd say he'll probably rack up a few more running metres and lead by example.
Holmes well I'm just not seeing a lot of potential upside. I don't know he's not a high involvement player with lots of run metres and tackle breaks plus he's never displayed any notable ball playing skills I can remember.

For me its Holmes or French. I can't see anyone cheaper that I'd consider starting in my wfb's, nor can i really afford to spend much more on that position.

Holmes will have had his first full preseason as the first choice fullback so that will have been a big help to him. I'm hoping for a bit of a breakout year. He loves to charge onto the ball so I'm hoping he can rack up plenty of run metres per match. He averaged 130metres per game last year (and yes alot of htat will be breaks down the wing) but hoping he can improve on that. Its a bit of a gut feel pick this one.

French seems like a Barba. will need the 1 or 2 big plays to score well. Who knows, he may get them enough to average 40+

Apparently on Big Sports Breakfast Elijah Taylor was talking up Matt Eisenhuth for a round 1 spot.

Could well take the spot that most pre-season team lists are giving to JJ Felise.

yeah, even if hayne sucks early in the season he will be priced so low its not worth trading him out. he will be FB for the season so you'd just hold him in the NPR's til he came good. he'd no doubt bust out an 80 as soon as you bench him

I am going to assume Hayne and RTS are already locks.

So there is also Lachlan Coote who had a poor 2016 in terms of Fantasy score but in 2015 averaged over 40 points a game.

Daniel Sarginson and his transition to NRL. He is priced in the same group but the fact he is such an unknown is a risk, but also gives him potential.

Kurt Mann where is he playing this year?

Billy Slater averaged 35 points in 2015 (Which was injury affected) and then was averaging 40 points in 2014 and 2013. If he stays fit he could return to averaging that much.

Akuila Uate, this isn't an endorsement for him to be in your starting 17 but he averaged over 30 points in 2015, 14, and 13. He is priced at half of that after what can only be described as playing for one of the worst NRL teams in recent history. He has always had big match potential and could return to form this year and might average 30-35 over the course of the year but could peak at 40-50 point price player if he has a string of 2-3 good games.

He averaged 62 points in 2014 and 41 points in 2013. I think he is capable of scoring up to 40 point average this season considering they have the spine of Peats, Taylor and Hayne. Outside of that he looks head and shoulders above the rest of their backline with a decent finisher in Don. Very reminiscent of the Eels team.

Perhaps compared to expectations he might be.

But I can't see how he won't make decent money.

I'll be running with the popular Hayne, RTS, Slater WFB line-up in my team, and I will hopefully pick up some bargain WFB cashcows as reserves.

I've got Gutherson as a reserve to cover for injuries in the Halves and the WFB.

Nope, latest 17 looks like this:

    Smith, McInnes
    Graham, DSaifiti, AFB
    Surgess, McGuire, Smat
    Norman, Mortimer, Gutherson Hingano
    Idris, Whare
    Hayne, RTS, Slater

With Guth as cover for WFB injuries, Smat move to Centres if a 2RF super cow emerges
reserves to be finalised when Teamlists drop

I think he will make a similar amount to Slater

Looking really decent. If Mortimer gets a solid 50-60 minutes at HOK he could average 40 points for you. I love the PoD of Graham and who is placeholder for McGuire at this stage?
