If anyone is interested, the Broncos vs Sharks trial on saturday night will be live streamed on both clubs websites. Interesting to see how Mortimer goes starting #9, and Offa/Ese Ese starting props up against fifita/gal

Good riddance, he's a fucking dipshit. Did anyone hear him on the news last night, he reckons that the nrl haven't done anything for him so why should he stick around. What about all the opportunities they' ve given you to become a sports star dickhead.
Hate pricks like him that think everyone owes them all the time.

I've got Lamb. Dominated the kicking(Averaged 315 metres per game with Hodkinson and his average is based almost entirely on base stats (1 try assist and 1 linebreak assist in 3 games). I expect the Knights to score a few more tries this year so that should rise. Priced at any average of 29.8 which is lower than his lowest score of the year

haha. what a flog. personally couldnt care less about the drug use, but rules are rules, you get caught, cop the punishment. clearly hasnt grown up. put him in teh same category as james roberts.
The NRL will be quietly happy he left, i think.

Now they can spend the Barba money on a transfer for Segeyaro and we can all rip up our teams.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
I just dont think there are enough Rookies this year to go a full Guns and Rookie strategy. Even come team lists i highly doubt that will change much.
Discounting Hayne and RTS i have 4 guns, normally id try have 7-8 but with very few rookies and guns seemingly higher priced this year i dont think its possible. I have 10 mid rangers incl Hanye and RTS, assuming they are safe picks at worst im thinking 5 fail, and considering the money spent i should be able to trade hard the first 3 weeks to get the missed mids or cheapies in.

Barba doesnt have the right body type for Rugby, would be better trying to play 7's. He'll be lucky to play as many games as Mason did for Toloun, 1!

He's far, far too small for modern rugby, unless he plays scrum-half and he hasn't got that skillset. Expect him to be back or in the ESL by the middle of the year.

Wouldn't go too bad as a fullback or even winger if his kicking game isn't good enough. Great at counter attacking, safe under the high ball and knows how to finish

Barba will be atrocious in Union especially in the ultra physical French league dominated by forwards. He does not have a transferable skillset

I had written pretty much the same post but had to delete it. They will smash him in France, I actually predict an injury lol

at this point I can't even complete a team that I am happy with. The midrangers on offer in frf/2rf just aren't that appealing.
There will always be a few injuries and bolters pop up by rnd 1 though, so I'll just wait to see how things pan out come TLT. But if this 21 man tuesday squad list goes ahead its going to be a bit of a nightmare. Might have to do some calculated picks/positioning based on the ability to do late swaps during rolling lock out.

Wonder if they bought him just for the 10's.

Injuries in French rugby are killers, they just cut you and the contract with no payouts

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Forgive me if this has been covered, I haven't had the chance to read through all resources.
Looking at putting together my starting team and am considering my options. Last year I ballsed up right from the start, burnt 2 trades most weeks trying to catch up. Then faded hard at end of season.
2016 was the year of the Fake Cash Cow, so many names got thrown around, some delivered, many did not, it seemed I chose mostly the wrong ones. Sure I wasn't the only one. I took the approach of Guns or Cows. not a lot in between.
2017 plan. Along with Guns and Cows, I will be selecting a number of players I can set and forget. Players that carry minimal risk, useful for bye coverage, low risk of price drop and can keep the score board ticking over 35+ minimum. few players that spring to mind (by no means the ideal or front runners). Whitehead (upper end of $$) Jthompson. Tapine, G burgess. I expect these players to drift in and out of my team as it develops. Few DPPS in there to help out.
Is this sound thinking?

Benji's stint for the Blues (who suck) comes to mind. For mine, similar skill set that will get exposed

I'm trying to fit James Graham into my team... just to get a bit of consistency in the Front Row and an extra body for round 12... but the $$$ is the tricky part
