Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Brailey could be a bolter for round 1..
"The Nines and last weekend's trial match hasn't really helped me decide who will be hooker," Flanagan said.
"Young Jayden Brailey did a good job for us when he was on the field. Daniel Mortimer tried really hard, but he was caught out a few times in defence.
"It's definitely going to be an issue for us and we need to sort it out quickly.
"The World Club Challenge will give us another opportunity to look at the talent we have."

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
I've only got 4 400+ players but the cheapest of those is Mannering so maybe it evens out. Could probably go cheaper but of the sub 500 players nobody really interests me. I think Gillett's a nice POD who actually pumped out mostly 50+ scores last year until injury and a dip in Broncos form got his average lower. If I had him instead of Mannering I could run with a genuine gun in the halves but I don't know I'm not really changing my team too much until Round 1.
It's fun to throw up all these what if's though. English teachers get paid to discuss things that maybe the author was thinking so why not spend my time imagining how my Fantasy team might best look.

I saw you slip that in after quoting Chewie.

Travis Meyn is another guy you can follow. He's a mate from uni so i follow him anyway but he is also a sports writer for the Courier Mail and provides a bit of Titans news. Oh and I second the Gavel thing, he gets plenty of news from the club so is a pretty good source for Raiders info.

Of interest- jarrod wallace named at #13 for titans trial in an otherwise weak forward pack.

you going pretty top heavy atm JBG? What big guns are you running with? I like you am also liking the look of Gillett, but got burned end of last season by his drop in scores. Looking at him as an alternative to Buhrer POD or even paying the extra on ET if it seems like ET is getting too popular

Surprised there has been little talk of Jason Taumalolo around these parts as I expect him to explode this year, what does everyone know that I dont or is he on the QT

If he lines up like that in round 1 he should be getting 55 mins at least. Or it could mean James will start at prop & rotate to lock when Wallace has a rest. So James could be potentially playing 65-70 mins. If this happens Walace should still play 45-50 mins imo.

For me he is on the I know my thinking around him and can't see it being changed so won't be bringing him up. But well in consideration for TLT

Given the doubts surrounding the mid range props, are many people going with two guns and two cows/npr's and looking for value elsewhere?

Not sure if you are trying to lump people with upper to mid range traps by the trend for Gillett's PPM has been consistently on the decline for the last 3 years and there is nothing to suggest that this will change in the future, particularly with the number of younger back rowers pushing for spots at the broncos.
Buyer beware!
