Yeah that's why I add value to the discussion though.

Picking out random names that are forming the community template and challenging the fact that they are actually just a bit rubbish at rugby league and average in fantasy terms.

I like explosive types for that sort of money that have a 60pt+ game in them. Gurgess is obvious example

Just need Faufusi to be named to start so he gets dpp for flexibility with McGuire. Love this team. Just don't know if I can go without Smith

Like it mate but I would get more creative with Norman and buhrer personally to get smith for mcinnes

That's so close to my current team it's not funny. Only differences are that I have Sironen for Capewell, Maloney for Norman, Mitchell for Turbo, and Cotric for Ponga (via Suli)
EDIT: missed a couple there - I also have JDB for Surgess, and Gallen for McGuire Embarassed

Surely McGuire, Gurgess, ET aren't 'guns'. Don't get me wrong, I have 2/3 in my team. I put them in for potential but they come with risk. Guns aren't risky (metaphorically speaking)

A Parker less McGuire is 100% a gun. A 50 avg DPP former rotation prop now playing lock. Crazy speak and one of my first picked

ET will hit 450k and Gurgess you're right is more explosive speculative

McGuire & Holmes will score more as a combo but I 'd want to keep Fifita. I realise this has not helped you at all mate.

So Hoffman says he'll be sweet by round 1 but Bodene could be out. Anyone going with Afoa if named to start round 1 because priced at 31.8 & if he plays 70+ mins which he most probably will I can see him scoring at least 40 & making a lot of $. Thoughts.

Because you don't like McInnes? or because Smith is, well Smith?

Every way I look at it McGuire & Holmes has a slight edge, but seeing Fifita there just gives a sense of confidence. I've got Smith, JDB and Gallen regardless, so there's no real concern with captaincy options, and both Fifita and McGuire are origin players so there's no real advantage one way or another there. I guess McGuires DPP is a plus.

He's averaged 57 51 59 minutes last 3 seasons. Won't he play similar minutes and score similar. He gets bulk of points from tackles and run metres. Is this going to change?

Just read that Mataulino could be out longer than expected too - has an infection from his knee surgery

He's not going to make a lot of $ in 1-2 games if the others are back by then

I was talking up Bunty here but I woudn't want to risk him unless there is some really solid info that Bodene wont take his spot within a couple of weeks. Otherwise he's just not worth picking.

And my problem is to fit Bunty into my team would require some huge adjustments.

Playing at lock McGuire will get his hands on the ball a lot more.

Last year averaged about 20 touches a game. Got 40 in the WCC.

Most of the time he'll just pass before the line, but it does create more opportunities for attacking points like LBAs.

I don't think there is much risk of losing cash, and the DPP makes him very tempting
