Why take the foot off the throat, would let them McInnes/Widdop/mccrone build on this and practice their combo. If anything would give him a go at fullback to keep Dugan safe or take off a forward and use him as a roaming player

Well it's Round 1 for the Warriors and it's the Knights who nobody that is expected to score well against ever scores well so I'm doubtful. You're right though SJ is a season long investment for me, those 90 scores he'll get that others won't will help even things out a little.

If JDB didn't score that try his score would only be slightly higher than Gallen and Surgess, so in that respect I don't feel too bad running without him.

Trading Tedesco or JDB in is a little crazy.
Trading Joel Thompson in would be suicide. He's always been an 80 minute player and he clearly won't be scoring multiple tries each week.
